The weather has already put paid to Downpatrick's meeting and inspections have been called at Leopardstown and Carlisle, so options are fairly limited on the racing front this Sunday.

Bath looks hopeful, however, so the Somerset venue is the focus of our Sunday racing tips.

15:08 Bath - Adaay In Devon @ 2/1

A winner four times last year, Rod Millman's ADAAY IN DEVON ventures into handicap company for the first time off the back of a promising effort on seasonal return, and the three-year-old is well capable of defying top weight in the 5f handicap.

The filly ran a very good race at Leicester in Listed grade last month when fourth behind Montassib, she was there with every chance at the furlong pole but was just ran out of things in the closing stages by three good types.

She chased home 1000 Guineas-entry Romantic Style when runner-up in Listed grade at Newmarket to round off a great year last term, and with a real liking for heavy ground, she is going to be very hard to stop if she can put her best foot forward. Dropping back to the minimum shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience, albeit she could be better over further.

15:43 Bath - Thunderbear @ 12/1

Another who is going to adore underfoot conditions at Bath on Sunday is the Irish raider THUNDERBEAR, who could be well supported in the market with everything in his favour for trainer Jack Davidson, including having talented 5lb claimer James Ryan in the saddle.

The four-year-old didn't go a yard when tailed off at Southwell in the Listed Hever Sprint on his reappearance in February, but despite finishing eighth at the Curragh last month he was a big eyecatcher, coming from rear travelling well but unable to produce a late burst to go and challenge.

Thunderbear is no stranger to British shores. He won a Nottingham handicap on heavy ground last May, and also won a Newbury Group 3 on heavy in September. He's high enough in the weights but he will handle the ground better than most here.

17:55 Bath - Four Adaay @ 5/1

Rod Millman's other runner at Bath is FOUR ADAAY and the mare should be well up for winning a race of this nature on her return to action. Her form figures on heavy read 2433 and the last time she ran in this grade, she won - at Newmarket last June.

The mare can also go well fresh. She won first time up at Lingfield in March 2021, and was placed in third at Windsor first time up a year later. Fitness shouldn't be a concern which is a big positive in these testing conditions.

Now down to a mark of 70, which is 2lb below her last winning mark, she has a big chance.
