National Hunt racing dominates across Britain and Ireland on Sunday with six meetings taking place across the afternoon on another day of fabulous Easter weekend action.

First off is Cork before they go to Fairyhouse, Ffos Las, Plumpton and Market Rasen, while afternoon all-weather racing takes place on the Tapeta at Southwell. Amongst our Sunday fancies is one for trainers Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero who is an interesting recruit from the Flat that could turn into a good hurdler. Here are our Sunday racing tips.

Sunday Racing Tips

  • 14.44 Market Rasen - Irish Lullaby @ 2/1
  • 15.19 Market Rasen - Pyffo @ 9/2
  • 16.35 Ffos Las - Rouge De L'quest @ 3/1

14.44 Market Rasen - Irish Lullaby @ 2/1

Formerly trained by Jessica Harrington on the Flat in Ireland, IRISH LULLABY was a very good horse on the level and she could be a class above her rivals in the 2m½f Ferry Ales Brewery Mares' Maiden Hurdle on her first start for the Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero yard.

Rated as high as 97 on the Flat, she competed in some good staying handicaps and at Group 3 level. If the yard has her ready to go in a first-time hood she could take some beating, but the market is likely to tell the story.

Purchased for 65,000gns in December, Irish Lullaby also has an entry for Ludlow on Tuesday so it's promising that they're so keen to get a run into her, and she will appreciate any drying of the ground but is effective on soft too.

15.19 Market Rasen - Pyffo @ 9/2

Moving onto the following 2m4½f Peter Pan Flying Saturday 6th July! Maiden Hurdle at Market Rasen where it will be disappointing if the Jonjo O'Neill-trained PYFFO can't win a race of this nature for connections.

The six-year-old son of Shantou won a Haydock bumper on soft ground in December 2022, and was then third behind two progressive horses in Moon Chime and Marmalade Time at Worcester last May.

Second to Lisnamult Lad on hurdling debut at Ludlow in October, he then finished fourth behind The Jukebox Man at Ffos Las, who has subsequently finished third in the Challow Novices' Hurdle at Newbury and a narrow second in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham, both Grade 1 events.

Pyffo disappointed when sent off favourite on his handicap debut at Doncaster, but he's worth another chance back down in trip.

16.35 Ffos Las - Rouge De L'quest @ 3/1

It may come as no surprise that testing ground is on the horizon at Ffos Las, and one horse who should handle the mud is Rebecca Curtis' ROUGE DE L'QUEST in the 3m handicap chase.

This horse beat the now 137-rated Theatre Man in a Dromahane point in 2021, and on that form alone the selection could be thrown in off a mark of 97.

Rouge De L'quest wasn't without support in his last two outings where he faded late on in testing conditions, but the handicapper has relented again with a further 3lb drop in the weights and it's surely only a matter of time before he takes advantage.
