Horse Racing Tips: Dallas can Star at Naas on Sunday

There are four cards in Britain and Ireland on a busy Sunday, and fans of both codes have something to look forward to.
I've advised a flat wager at Naas plus a couple of jumpers at Exeter and Limerick.
Horse Racing Tips - Sunday, March 23
- 16:03 Limerick - Harry Des Ongrais @ 15/8
- 16:13 Exeter - Neo King each-way @ 11/2
- 16:23 Naas - Dallas Star @ 10/3

16:03 Limerick - Harry Des Ongrais @ 15/8
Monbeg Park sets quite a high bar in the Grade 3 novice chase at Limerick after his victory off a mark of 142 in a good Leopardstown handicap last time.
He has plenty of experience with 19 starts under rules (including 10 chases) to his name, but could be vulnerable to the lightly raced HARRY DES ONGRAIS.
This horse was a talented staying novice hurdler two seasons ago - highlighted by his Grade 1 run at the 2023 Punchestown Festival - but he missed the best part of two years before making his chasing debut at Fairyhouse in January.
Entitled to strip fitter for that reappearance over a 2m1f trip that was much too sharp, Harry Des Ongrais relished an extra three furlongs to run out an impressive winner at Gowran Park on his second chase outing last month.
He gave a good beating to subsequent Cheltenham novice handicap third O’Moore Park there and promises to be even better suited by this extended three-mile trip.

16:13 Exeter - Neo King each-way @ 11/2
The Devon National should be key to solving the marathon handicap chase at Exeter. Art Decco beat NEO KING (second) and Planned Paradise (fourth) there, but it is the second named that makes the most appeal now.
Evan Williams has wasted no time sending Neo King over fences, as this point-to-point runner-up only made his hurdling debut in October, and he’s run crackers on both starts in handicap chases at this track.
The seven-year-old looked a dour stayer when upped markedly in trip for the Devon National and was keeping on all the way to the line. A 1lb rise for that performance is fair enough.
This solid jumper retains untapped potential over these stamina-sapping trips, and after only two starts in chases, there should be plenty more to come.
This is an Extra Place Race, with 3 places available instead of 2 at 1/5 the odds.

16:23 Naas - Dallas Star @ 10/3
The Listed Devoy Stakes is the highlight on the Flat at the Curragh and looks like a good opportunity for DALLAS STAR to do the business.
Adrian Murray is renowned for hitting the ground running and his horses have started the new campaign in blistering form.
Murray has hit the target with six of his past 12 runners and Dallas Star, who landed the Ballysax Stakes before taking his chance in the Derby last term, returned with a smooth victory in a conditions race at Dundalk last month.
The son of Cloth Of Stars was conceding plenty of weight to some useful rivals and that run should have brought him forward.
Connections will doubtless have bigger targets in mind down the line, and Dallas Star, who has a fitness edge over most of his opponents, can book his ticket for those.
