Horse Racing Tips: Lady Iman looks to get back to winning ways

Four race meetings are taking place across the UK and Ireland on Sunday with action scheduled across the afternoon and into the evening. First off is Naas before they go at Ripon, Stratford and Hamilton.
Amongst my Sunday Horse Racing Tips is one for trainer Ger Lyons who struggled at the top level last season but will be looking to capitalise now down in class.

15:56 Naas - Expanded @ 5/2
Expanded was slightly underwhelming in the Classics last year, never really looking in contention in the English and Irish 2000 Guineas.
Again in the Group 2 Solonaway Stakes, his last outing in 2025, it looked as though he had not trained on after a promising juvenile campaign which saw him finish second in the 2024 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.
However, he looked back to his best when making his reappearance last month at Leopardstown. He raced in the rear and made significant headway in the closing stages to finish only half a length behind top-class stablemate The Lion In Winter. It was an encouraging run, coming off the pace.
He will have to show more improvement again this time out, but it was a positive run last time and he should come on for that in terms of fitness.
He did his best work as a two-year-old over seven furlongs so this drop back in trip should suit and it could see him get his head back in front.

17:26 Naas - Lady Iman @ 5/1
Lady Iman looked to struggle at the top level at the end of last season finishing some way back in the Nunthorpe Stakes and the Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster on her final start.
She weakened in the closing stages on both occasions and it is possible that she was feeling the effects of a long season.
However, she did well in the early part of the season winning three of her first four starts which included winning the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood under a penalty, which was her best performance so far.
The successes she achieved early last season suggest that she goes well fresh and should be competitive back down in Listed company.

18:15 Hamilton - Jonny Concrete @ 6/1
Normally a consistent type, the tail-end of last season was a bit of a struggle for Jonny Concrete, but he began the season well when making his seasonal reappearance at Chester last week.
Having been raced in higher classes toward the end of last season, he was dropped to a Class 4 for his first run of the season and was sent off as favourite.
He was prominent throughout the race and only weakened in the closing stages to take a respectable third place. It was a credible effort after nearly eight months off, only being beaten home by two who had had a run, and one he can build upon.
He is versatile trip wise, so the drop back to six furlongs should not be an issue and he is only 2lb above his last winning mark.
If he comes on at all for his seasonal debut he should have the measure of his opponents here in another Class 4, a level at which he has never been out of the frame.
