Sunday Racing Tips: Rolypoly to make Sunday sweet

There is racing on the Flat and over the jumps across the UK and Ireland on Sunday, with three meetings taking place in the afternoon. First off is Polytrack action at Lingfield, before they go over jumps at Musselburgh and in Ireland at Punchestown.
Amongst our Sunday fancies is one for trainer Robbie Llewellyn who showed plenty on his return to action last time.
Horse Racing Tips - Sunday, February 16
16:52 Lingfield - Rolypolymoly @ 7/1
Returning to the course after an absence of nearly a year, Robbie Llewellyn’s six-year-old ROLYPOLYMOLY showed enough to believe he maintains plenty of ability.
He had been second in the same amateur riders’ race in 2024, but that was after a couple of starts, whereas this time after his absence he faded late on after making the running under his inexperienced amateur.
Although yet to get off the mark on the flat, he won twice over hurdles for previous trainer Adam West and showed enough in plenty of his outings on the level to think he’s capable of taking a modest contest.
With that run under his belt, Luke Morris booked and dropped another 3lb, expect him to go very close in this.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
14:52 Lingfield - Conquest Of Power @ 4/6
It’s been almost a year since Mark Usher’s CONQUEST OF POWER managed to get his head in front, but this first drop to Classified level represents a great opportunity.
He’s 16lb lower than that success in May last year and has been running in Class 4 and Class 5 races as recently as a couple of months ago.
The drop to Class 6 saw him go close twice, with his last run in particular flagging him up as one about to strike.
Stepped up to a mile and half a furlong for the first time in a while and, despite pulling hard from a wide draw, he kept on conspicuously well to narrowly go down by a head.
That was a decent Class 6, so from a kind draw in stall two and with Paddy Bradley maintaining the partnership the pair can take this.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
15:00 Musselburgh - Not In Kansas @ 4/1
Nick Alexander’s pair are both of interest in this very ordinary handicap hurdle, but on his second run after a wind-op NOT IN KANSAS should be capable of notching a success.
Both of the Alexander pair ran respectably in a much better race over three miles here two weeks ago and, with stable jockey Bruce Lynn retaining the ride on this one, there’s every reason to expect a bold show.
The selection was badly hampered mid-race and did well to look in with a chance two from home before his stamina gave way late on.
Twice a winner at this trip in the spring at Class 5 level, everything looks set for a big run here.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
