Horse Racing Tips: Three to light up Navan on Sunday

Jumps racing holds sway across Britain and Ireland on Sunday, with three meetings taking place across the afternoon. First off is Carlisle before they go at Navan and Windsor.
My horse racing tips for Saturday includes one for trainer John McConnell who has dropped to a very winnable mark and who can strike in the capable hands of Alex Harvey.
Horse Racing Tips - Sunday, December 15
14:20 Navan - Andys Flame @ 7/1
Despite being sent off a 9/2 chance, ANDYS FLAME was nowhere near his best when last seen over this trip at Naas but, if he's anywhere close to his best, he should hold every chance in the 2m4f handicap chase.
His sole victory to date came in a Downpatrick handicap hurdle over 2m3f in 2022, so it has been a long time since winning drinks, but a repeat of his second behind Boomslang in a Downpatrick beginners' chase in October brings him right into this.
Fifth at Cheltenham next time from 5lb out of the weights and an inflated British mark, he was only beaten around seven lengths on that occasion behind some good horses.
If he can run anywhere close to that, then he has to be a player in this grade.
Betfred are offering your stake back (up to £10) as a free bet if your selection in this race finishes 2nd.

14:55 Navan - Tyre Kicker @ 5/1
A respectable eighth in the Troytown over course and distance last time, TYRE KICKER will find this assignment a good deal easier and Gavin Cromwell's seven-year-old is tipped to come out on top in the 3m handicap chase.
Taking on rivals rated as high as 146 last time was no easy task, but dropping into a 0-123 handicap off top weight could be just what the doctor ordered.
The winning hurdler and three-time chase winner goes on any ground and has been a model of consistency.
He is only 4lb higher than when second at Galway on his return, with subsequent Troytown winner Stuzzikini back in third on that occasion.

15:25 Navan - Classical Creek @ 6/4
CLASSICAL CREEK won his point by 10 lengths and made no mistake on his rules debut when doing enough at Down Royal last month. The fact he was sent off a 2/9 favourite on the day signals how highly regarded he is.
Owned by Gigginstown House Stud, the son of Walk In The Park was picked up for €65,000 after his point win, which already looks like an absolute steal, and his pedigree would suggest he will appreciate a step up in trip once he goes over obstacles.
Trainer Gordon Elliott has a phenomenal record in bumpers this season and there's no Willie Mullins-trained runner to worry about on this occasion.
While Gigginstown and Elliott are responsible for three runners in the field, Classical Creek looks like their strongest chance.
Ted Walsh's Friary Road is also worthy of respect when bidding for a hat-trick.
