Horse Racing Tips: On Lovers to Walk all over his rivals at Punchestown

Although a relatively quiet day on the racing front, there's something to suit all tastes across Britain and Ireland on Sunday with a pair of meetings taking place across the afternoon.
First off is an eight-race all-weather card at Lingfield before they go at Punchestown, who host a Grade 2 and a Grade 3.
Amongst our Sunday fancies is one for trainer Ross O’Sullivan, who has hit the crossbar a good few times and can finally get off the mark.
Horse Racing Tips - Sunday, January 12
12:25 Punchestown - On Lovers Walk @ 10/3
Runner-up four times over hurdles and also second on his last chase start, ON LOVERS WALK looks capable of getting the win in the opening 2m6½f beginners' chase at Punchestown.
Formerly with Gerard Kelleher, the eight-year-old son of Walk In The Park was having his third start for Ross O'Sullivan when just touched off on the line in a similar contest over 2m4½f at Down Royal over the Christmas period.
He stuck to his task well on the day and although he now enters unknown territory over this sort of trip, he has to have a massive chance if he can see it out with his rider also claiming 7lb off his back.
With plenty of dead wood in this contest, there's three or four with a realistic chance and he can hopefully get our day off to a flyer.

12:55 Punchestown - Lecky Watson @ 5/4
In the following Grade 3 novice chase over 2m3½f, Willie Mullins will be looking to have a good time of things in the month of January off the back of a relatively poor Christmas period by his lofty standards.
Paul Townend will take the ride on LECKY WATSON, who took the scalp of last season's Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Slade Steel on his chasing bow over 2m4f at Naas last month.
The seven-year-old had some good form in novice hurdle company last season, landing a 2m7f maiden at Thurles before going on to finish a respectable fifth in the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival.
Lecky Watson already looks a better chaser and he loves going right-handed so he should take all the beating.

14:42 Lingfield - I Can't Believe @ 11/2
He may still be a maiden after eight starts but I CAN'T BELIEVE might be ready to pounce in the mile handicap for trainer David Evans, with Jordan Williams claiming 5lb in the plate.
The four-year-old son of Magna Grecia was heavily backed into 6/4 favourite on his penultimate start over 1m1½f at Wolverhampton but he was very disappointing on the day.
Sporting a first-time visor over that same track and trip latest, he ran a much better race when beaten about three lengths into fifth, only weakening in the final furlong or so. The drop in trip should aid his cause as will the 3lb drop in the weights.
