Horse Racing Tips: Super Sox can land the spoils at Tipperary

We have a quiet Sunday on our hands, with just three meetings taking place across the UK and Ireland but there is Flat and National Hunt action to look forward to.
Tipperary’s eight-race card, which features the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes, kicks us off and Worcester and Brighton follow closely after.
Among our three strongest Sunday fancies is one for Paddy Twomey in Tipperary’s feature race who is improving quickly and can take the step up in grade in her stride.
Horse Racing Tips - Sunday, September 1
3.30 Tipperary - Super Sox @ 1/1
There’s a good mix of three-year-olds and older horses in the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes and the one who draws the eye is Paddy Twomey’s SUPER SOX. She’s had just four starts to date and is progressing at a fast rate.
Third on her debut at Dundalk in May, she took a step forward from that effort when finishing second at Cork next time. An excellent performance at the Curragh followed next time as she got off the mark with a very smooth two-length success.
The daughter of Showcasing was always in control, making all the running, and the race was over as soon as her jockey said go. Galen was second that day and he was runner-up behind City Of Troy on his debut and won by nine lengths after being defeated by Super Sox.
A Listed came next at Cork and she travelled like a dream throughout the race before winning comfortably once again. This Group 3 looks like a very sensible next step and it would be a surprise if victory is beyond her here.
3.22 Brighton - Cassandraalexandra @ 4/1
Nurseries are often fascinating puzzles to solve and this one is no different. CASSANDRAALEXANDRA has taken a while to get the hang of things but the penny appeared to drop at Windsor last time out.
There wasn’t much to shout about in her first couple of starts but there were small signs of improvement at Nottingham after that. She was much more competitive in finishing sixth on her handicap debut at Windsor, and gave the impression she would progress again.
That proved to be the case over the same course and distance next time as she was just a head away from getting off the mark. A 2lb rise feels pretty reasonable and while she’ll need to come on again, her profile indicates that she’s likely to do so.
