Six meetings are set to take place across Britain and Ireland on Saturday, with two Premier Racedays provided by Haydock over jumps and Musselburgh on the flat.

Amongst our Saturday racing tips is a 10-year-old handicap chaser who's been found an excellent opportunity on Merseyside to register a fifth success over fences.

Saturday Racing Tips

  • 14:40 Haydock - Judicial Law @ 8/1
  • 15:15 Haydock - Numitor @ 4/1
  • 15:35 Musselburgh - Sweet Fantasy @ 5/1

14:40 Haydock - Judicial Law @ 8/1

Finally, JUDICIAL LAW is capable of registering a sixth success over hurdles in the £50,000 Class 2 extended 3m Stayers Hurdle Series Final Handicap Hurdle at Haydock.

He was second from a similar mark in a better contest at Cheltenham in October and the sixth We'llhavewan has since won a Listed Navan Handicap Hurdle.

The selection was then returning from a break when fifth over this trip on heavy ground at Newbury in February from a slightly higher rating.

The second Kyntara reached the same position in the Pertemps Network Final Premier Handicap Hurdle at the recent Cheltenham Festival and Judicial Law is entitled to build on that Newbury effort.

15:15 Haydock - Numitor @ 4/1

NUMITOR is considered the best bet of the day in the £100,000 Class 2 2m4f Middle Distance Veterans' Handicap Chase Finale from Haydock on Saturday.

After 21 career starts the ten-year-old has fewer miles on the clock than all of his nine opponents, with upwards of seven less runs behind him than the rest of the field.

The son of the German sire Schiaparelli arrives 4-15 over fences and, with the ground likely to be bordering on heavy, it is encouraging that he is 3-9 on soft or heavy ground.

He also looks really well treated off a mark of 129. The selection registered a personal best Racing Post Rating (RPR) of 142 when second over this course and distance in April 2022.

Three runs ago he produced an excellent second over this trip on soft ground at Newbury in March 2023. The winner Heltenham is now rated 19lb higher following another two wins over that track and trip this season. In contrast, Numitor is competing from a 6lb lower mark.

The gelding produced a respectable fourth after nearly a year off the track at Exeter earlier this month and Sean Bowen takes over in the saddle from his brother James Bowen.

Sean Bowen is 7-22 (32% +£19.38) when riding over fences at Haydock.

15:35 Musselburgh - Sweet Fantasy @ 5/1

SWEET FANTASY is worth supporting in the £100,000 14-runner Queen's Cup Heritage Handicap from Musselburgh.

The thriving five-year-old mare is representing James Owen with the 3lb-claiming jockey Aidan Keeley in the saddle, who is a notable 6-20 (30%) when riding for Owen.

The selection joined Owen for 30,000gns in December having registered a personal best RPR of 92 when winning his penultimate start on the Flat for Ralph Beckett over 1m4f on soft ground at Epsom in August.

The daughter of Wootton Bassett features off a mark of 87 as she steps up to a staying trip on the level for the first time, and that mark is exploitable if translating her latest jumping progression to this sphere.

She arrives on an across-the-codes hat-trick after winning her latest two starts over hurdles at Plumpton and Catterick since towards the end of January.
