Horse Racing Tips: Ramazan’s in line for Ayr Gold Cup raid

It’s Flat racing all the way across the UK and Ireland on Saturday with seven meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening. First off is Ayr where they host the Gold Cup card before they go at Newbury, Newmarket, Chester, Navan and Gowran Park.
The evening meeting comes from Wolverhampton on the Tapeta. Among our Saturday fancies is one for trainer Richard Fahey in the biggest race of the day from Ayr.
Horse Racing Tips - Saturday, September 21
15.00 Ayr - Sky Majesty @ 4/1
Ayr’s £65,000 Group 3 6f Firth Of Clyde Stakes for juvenile fillies can go to William Haggas’s representative SKY MAJESTY.
Haggas won this race through Queen Of Bermuda in 2018 and is 28-114 (25%) with his runners on this course.
The daughter of Blue Point raced green before making a winning racecourse debut over this 6f trip on good to firm ground at Newbury last month.
She had to quicken in the closing stages to marginally get up in a race that is unlikely to be lost on her from an experience perspective.
Granted normal progression, she should cope admirably with this step up in class by remaining unbeaten

15.15 Newbury - Shadow Of Light @ 5/2
SHADOW OF LIGHT is another horse to back on Saturday afternoon when contesting the feature £100,000 Group 2 6f Mill Reef Stakes for juveniles from Newbury, representing Charlie Appleby in a 10-runner field.
Appleby went 5-16 (31%) in the 14 days prior to racing on Friday and he is 10-44 (23%) with his juvenile runners at Newbury.
The Lope De Vega colt ran out a cosy winner of his 6f Yarmouth debut on good ground in July, before comfortably following up over the same trip at Newmarket in August.
Later that month he was forced to lay down his challenge away from the favoured quicker part of the course when reaching a close second of 10 in the Group 2 6f Gimcrack Stakes at York.
That effort sets the form standard and he is capable of going one better on this occasion.

15.35 Ayr - Ramazan @ 10/1
RAMAZAN has strong each-way claims on Saturday, representing Richard Fahey in the feature £180,000 Class 2 6f Ayr Gold Cup Heritage Handicap.
Fahey won this race through Don’t Touch in 2015, and Ramazan is following in his hoofprints to a degree, as Don’t Touch was following up his success in Ripon’s Great St Wilfrid a month beforehand.
Ramazan had to settle for second at Ripon 35 days ago, on the opposite far side of the track to his winning and reopposing stablemate Dare To Hope, who has since finished seventh at York.
The selection registered a peak Racing Post Rating (RPR) of 114 at Ripon and he is racing from a 3lb higher mark of 106 here, but Oisin McSweeney is continuing in the saddle and his 3lb claim negates the rise.
The four-year-old son of Kodiac was beaten a neck in this race as a three-year-old last season and he is capable of going one place better on this occasion.
