Horse Racing Tips: Rewired an each-way wildcard on Saturday

Jump racing holds sway in the UK and Ireland on Saturday, with four of the six meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening providing action over obstacles. The other two are all-weather Flat cards in the evening.
Among my horse racing tips for Saturday is an outsider representing Tristan Davidson at Musselburgh.
Horse Racing Tips - Saturday, February 1
14:17 Musselburgh - Rewired each-way @ 28/1
REWIRED is considered one of the best each-way bets of the day in the 12-runner Class 2 extended 1m7f Scottish County Handicap Hurdle from Musselburgh.
In stark contrast to Sandown, the Musselburgh executive have stated that they have been watering to main good to soft ground, and, with a dry couple of days forecast north of the border, it may pay to side with horses who should relish sounder surfaces.
The selection took a baby-step back in the right direction when sixth on unsuitably soft ground at Haydock a fortnight ago.
The seven-year-old has had four starts for his new yard since leaving Dr Richard Newland and Jamie Insole’s stables in November, and the pick of those efforts came when fourth on good ground at Wetherby from a 14lb higher mark.
Go back further through his form and he goes well at this time of year, is 5-15 on a combination of good and good to soft ground, 4-17 over this distance and 3-10 on a right-handed course like today.
In this month last year, he won off a 10lb higher rating at Taunton on good ground. and, at the big odds available, a chance is taken on him running to something like the 123 Racing Post Rating (RPR) he achieved that day from a declining official mark of 110.
This is an Extra Place Race, with Betfred paying 4 places instead of 3 at 1/5 the odds for all each-way bets.

14:35 Sandown - Jango Baie @ 5/6
My next selection is JANGO BAIE, who is representing Nicky Henderson in the feature race of the day in Britain, namely the four-runner Grade 1 2m4f Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase from Sandown.
Henderson is 2-6 in this contest since 2015 and his 2025 representative Jango Baie achieved a high RPR of 157 when successful on his debut over regulation fences over this trip at Cheltenham, after a break, 50 days ago.
He sets the form standard and is considered likely to follow up.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
14:50 Musselburgh - Marble Sands @ 5/1
The David Killahena and Graeme McPherson training partnership went 2-5 (40%) with their runners in the past 14 days and they are represented by MARBLE SANDS in the 12-runner Class 2 extended 2m4f Scottish Champion Chase.
The selection is 6-13 on a combination of good to soft and good ground, 6-11 on right-handed courses, 5-11 over this distance and 2-3 at this time of year including a course-and-distance success from a 2lb lower rating.
A reproduction of the 151 RPR he achieved on this course may suffice from a declining official mark of 143 despite performing consistently well on his last three starts.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
