Monday Racing Tips: Glory to enjoy Windsor success

We're fully into the summer months now so it's no surprise that Flat racing dominates proceedings on Monday, with four of the day's five fixtures taking place on the level. Stratford's jumps card is the first to kick off in the afternoon, with Ffos Las and Pontefract following swiftly afterwards. The best of the day's action takes place in the evening, as Windsor hosts some Class 2 and Class 3 action, while they also race at Kempton.
With plenty of racing on offer, we can afford to be selective and, with that in mind, my three strongest bets of the day could be worth following. Among my Monday Horse Racing Tips is an Andrew Balding-trained runner who should be much more comfortable back in handicap company.

16:00 Pontefract - Selection @ 7/2
There are plenty of out-of-form runners among the field here and, with that in mind, Ivan Furtado's SELECTION looks like the sensible play. The 76-rated filly has two previous wins to her name and it's noted that her record on turf is pretty consistent.
She got off the mark at the second time of asking, when landing a 6f novice at Pontefract for previous connections as a two-year-old. It also didn't take her too long to get the hang of things in handicap company and she was an impressive winner off a mark of 70 in October.
Furtado's four-year-old came close to winning on the all-weather and wasn't beaten far in two starts on the turf last month and was only a length behind the winner when fifth at Thirsk on her penultimate start.
She was denied by the narrowest of margins over course and distance last time out, so a repeat performance may well be enough this time around.

19:00 Windsor - Regal Envoy @ 11/4
REGAL ENVOY is adaptable with regards to trip and six of his 14 career victories have come over 6f, despite the fact that he has been campaigned mostly over the minimum trip of late. His impressive course record catches the eye and another big run could be on the cards.
Thriving at the age of seven, he's yet to produce a below-par run this season and he has two wins and two placed efforts to his name in just four starts. The first of those successes was achieved over 5f at Bath last month and he came out on top here when last seen.
Always prominent that day, he kept on well to score by a length-and-a-half over the minimum trip, in a style which suggested that going back up in trip wouldn't be a problem.
It's going to take a big performance to win off 94, but he's in great nick and there's plenty in his favour.

20:00 Windsor - A Taste Of Glory @ 11/4
Andrew Balding is having another excellent campaign thus far and even managed to land three winners at Royal Ascot. He looks well set to land another success here with three-year-old A TASTE OF GLORY who should be much happier in handicap company.
He gets a hefty 12lb age allowance and is the only runner in the field to receive it, which could prove to be crucial here. Winning a Lingfield handicap on seasonal debut, runner-up Al Azd has boosted the form by winning and placing in a Royal Ascot handicap since.
The Lingfield Derby Trial and the Derby itself proved to be beyond his capabilities, but the drop in grade will make a significant difference and a mark of 84 looks workable.
