Monday Racing Tips: Tizzard’s fine form can continue

Jump racing holds sway across Britain and Ireland on Monday, with four meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening.
First off is Punchestown, before they go at Hereford, Plumpton and Wolverhampton.
Amongst our Monday fancies is one for trainer Joe Tizzard who had a fantastic weekend when landing the Grade 1 Clarence House Chase at Cheltenham.
Monday Racing Tips
13:50 Plumpton - Westerninthepark @ 2/1
A well-bred son of Walk In The Park, Westerninthepark sets a good standard and can get off the mark over hurdles at the second time of asking for trainer Anthony Charlton in this 2m4½f maiden hurdle.
The gelding bolted up in a Stratford bumper last April, before running as well as could have been expected when midfield in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree behind Florida Dreams to round off his season.
On his return to action in October, Westerninthepark finished third to Big Fish on hurdling debut at Exeter over the extended 2m2f - a race that turned out to be his last for trainer Milton Harris - and he should find this assignment a touch easier.
Of the dangers, the biggest threat is likely to be Kilbarry Hill. Olly Murphy's six-year-old finished runner-up twice in Irish points and has shown plenty of ability when placing on all his three outings over hurdles to date.
15:50 Plumpton - No Hubs No Hoobs @ 11/4
Moving on to the competitive 3m1½f handicap chase, it's back to the bread and butter for trainer Joe Tizzard after his Grade 1 success in the Clarence House Chase at the weekend with Elixir De Nutz.
Six runners go to post for this contest, where No Hubs No Hoobs must have strong credentials. The Flemensfirth gelding got off the mark over fences on Boxing Day in 2022 at Wincanton off a mark of 99, and he is currently 5lb above that mark.
Second on his seasonal reappearance over 3m at Exeter in November, he was well clear of the remaining runners when runner-up again at Wincanton over 3m1f on Boxing Day, staying on well in the closing stages but no match for the winner.
Interestingly, first-time cheekpieces go on and that might bring about some further improvement.
19:00 Wolverhampton - Enola Grey @ 11/2
The final selection of the day runs on the all-weather card at Wolverhampton, where Enola Grey bids to get back into the winner's enclosure in the 1m½f fillies' handicap.
The Havana Grey filly has been a revelation since joining the Gemma Tutty stable, posting two wins and four seconds from seven starts since the middle of November.
Both of those victories were at Newcastle, but Enola Grey ran very well here in November and Ethan Jones, who has partnered her to victory twice, is great value for his 7lb claim in the saddle.
She takes a drop in grade here and, although the handicapper hasn't taken any chances, she can still win from her current mark.
