Racing on Monday in the UK and Ireland comes from Plumpton, Windsor and Wolverhampton (AW), with the meetings at Pontefract and Southwell abandoned due to waterlogged tracks.
One of our fancies is a C&D winner who can have more success at Windsor in their feature race of the afternoon, a class two handicap contest over 5f.

14:55 Windsor – Spoof @ 7/2
Experienced sprinter Spoof has been in excellent form in the latter stages of this season. He was victorious for the second time in four outings when successful at Nottingham (5f) earlier this month on heavy ground.
Kevin Frost’s gelding has a brilliant record at this course as he has prevailed three times over this C&D. His last win at this venue came back in April, while on his most recent appearance here, he was denied the top prize by just a neck.
The eight-year-old features on the Betfred Betfinder as one of the Most Napped selections today. He has just a 3lb rise in the ratings to defy, and with conditions set to be in his favour, he has an excellent chance of adding to his tally.
15:45 Plumpton – Sacre Coeur @ 7/2
Sacre Coeur picked up her first success since moving to Dan Skelton’s yard when she scored at Fontwell (2m5½f) earlier this month. That was her third victory over fences, and she did it by making every yard of the contest.
Skelton will be confident that there is more to come from his chaser. She is dropping down in distance here by two furlongs, but she did win over 2m1f when in France, so a shorter trip should not be a problem for her.
The seven-year-old mare has been put up 3lb by the handicapper for this latest test, however, she has been eased in class. 3lb claimer Fergus Gillard has been booked for the ride and he helps keep his runner’s weight down. She looks like the one to beat again.
18:40 Wolverhampton – Soowaih @ 3/1
In what was his opening appearance on the all-weather at Newcastle (1m), Soowaih broke his maiden last time out. It was also his first outing since having a wind-op, and he took a big step forward on what he had produced on his opening two starts.
The well-bred son of Gleneagles was given an excellent ride by Cameron Noble just over two weeks ago, as he avoided traffic by putting his horse on the outside of his rivals in the closing stages, which proved to be a winning move.
Roger Varian’s runner is now making his handicap debut from what looks like a lenient mark of 75.
He will be receiving weight off all but one of his rivals here and, with more improvement likely, he can take advantage of that to successfully follow up in this 1m contest at Wolverhampton.
