Horse Racing Tips: Chic to complete the hat-trick

Flat racing takes centre stage on Monday and four of the day’s five meetings take place on the level. There is one fixture for the National Hunt fans to sink their teeth into, however.
Jumping action from Cartmel kicks us off and is joined in the afternoon by Ayr, whilst Ballinrobe, Windsor and Beverley take us through the evening. We’ve got three strong fancies for our horse racing tips for Monday, and they all come from Windsor.
Horse Racing Tips - Monday, July 22
17:18 Windsor - Tolerance @ 12/1
This is an interesting part of the Flat season as nurseries are beginning to become more prevalent and they are often fascinating puzzles to solve. There is one such race at Windsor on Monday and George Boughey’s TOLERANCE can find plenty of improvement in this sphere.
The thrice-raced son of Starspangledbanner has shown clear signs of progress with each run and handicaps could facilitate plenty more. His most recent effort was undoubtedly his best and he kept on nicely to finish third, even though he was too keen in the early stages.
He is clearly still learning, which would indicate that the best is yet to come and he’s right near the bottom of the weights in this race. This opening mark of 71 does not look unduly harsh and Billy Loughnane’s mount should be taking a substantial step forward.
19:20 Windsor - Sixties Chic @ 4/1
There are three last-time-out winners in this competitive field of 16 and the most interesting of those is Jack Channon’s SIXTIES CHIC. This filly has won five races since November and is clearly progressing nicely.
She goes into this race following successive victories and will be attempting to complete the hat-trick here. The first of those came over course and distance in May, when she ran on well to win despite racing keenly and being short of room with a furlong or so to go.
It was a smoother performance when scoring at Newbury last time out and she won by the same margin but off a 6lb higher mark.
Life will be harder here, now up a further 5lb, but she leaves the impression that there’s more in the tank and she can win again before the handicapper catches up.
This is an Extra Place race, therefore Betfred will be paying 5 places instead of 4 at 1/5 odds.
19:50 Windsor - Seek And Destroy @ 11/4
Handicap debutante SEEK AND DESTROY certainly looks one to watch at Windsor as the Ralph Beckett-trained filly bids to follow up her course and distance victory in maiden company when last seen.
She had one start as a two-year-old and was well beaten over a mile at Kempton. It was a very different story on her first outing at three, however, and she was a nose away from getting off the mark when upped to 1m2f at Chepstow.
The daughter of Sea The Stars made no mistake when going one better here three weeks ago. Always up with the pace, she was very strong at the finish and showed a good attitude to get the better of the runner-up.
An opening mark of 79 doesn’t look too troublesome and her profile definitely suggests there’s plenty more to come.
