Horse Racing Tips: Skelton’s Mademoiselle to land Perth prize

Seven meetings take place across the UK & Ireland on Friday, with racing at Chepstow, Doncaster, Fontwell, Kilbeggan, Limerick, Perth and Sandown.
I've landed on three horse racing tips for the day, including one for title-chasing Dan Skelton up in Scotland.

14:25 Sandown - Almaqam @ 5/2
This year's renewal of the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes looks a fiercely-competitive affair with a case to be made for all the runners in the race.
However, Ed Walker’s ALMAQAM is taken to justify his strength in the market with a good performance today.
Walker’s colt enjoyed a decent three-year-old campaign last year winning a maiden at Yarmouth, before an impressive victory in the Listed Heron Stakes at this course, beating the well regarded Kikuli in the process. He capped off his season with an eye-catching performance in the Group 2 Prix Dollar at Longchamp, losing to Jayarebe by a neck.
He enjoys Sandown and there is plenty of stamina in his pedigree to suggest that he should be able to get off the mark over 10 furlongs, and the softer the conditions the greater the chance this smart prospect has of claiming victory.

15:00 Sandown - Haatem @ 9/2
The Group 2 Mile contest is another example of the competitiveness this Sandown card holds this afternoon.
As with the previous race, a case can be made for all the runners with the likes of Dancing Gemini, Lead Artist and Tamfana demonstrating the class on display. However, the selection goes to Wathnan Racing’s HAATEM, who enjoyed an impressive campaign last term.
Richard Hannon’s four-year-old kicked off his season last year with an impressive victory in the Craven at Newmarket before returning to the venue to finish third in the 2,000 Guineas. He then continued his good run of form by finishing a neck second in the Irish 2,000 Guineas to Rosalion before claiming the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

There is an abundance of class in this race but the Wathnan star goes well running fresh and with the absence of James Doyle due to injury, you don’t get much better cover than William Buick picking up the ride.

15:17 Perth - Coco Mademoiselle @ 15/8
With Willie Mullins and Dan Skelton locking horns and taking the Jump Trainers' Championship right to the final day, Skelton will be looking at every possibility to try to hold on and stop the Irish might of Closutton.
After declaring COCO MADEMOISELLE a non-runner in a Listed race on Wednesday, this should be an easier test for the English trainer to earn some vital prize money.
Despite not winning this season, Skelton’s mare has often run well in defeat, and last week’s performance was a reflection of her campaign.
She travelled well in the race and was unfortunate not to come away with something at Cheltenham when unseating Harry Skelton. However, if she can get into a good rhythm and get around the track, she will be in strong contention for an overdue first win of the season at a vital time for her yard.
