Horse Racing Tips: Haggas filly to deliver at second time of asking

Flat racing holds sway across the UK and Ireland on Friday with seven meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening.
Among our horse racing tips for the day is one for trainer William Haggas who will be hoping his star filly will be able to improve on her seasonal reappearance last time out.
Horse Racing Tips - Friday, May 23
- 15:00 Haydock - Unequal Love @ 11/8
- 15:50 Goodwood - Silver Knott @ 9/4
- 19:47 Pontefract - Made All @ 6/5

15:00 Haydock - Unequal Love @ 11/8
The feature at Haydock and by far the most valuable race on the card is a listed race over six furlongs. A case can be made for a lot of these but the selection goes to the in-form William Haggas and his classy filly UNEQUAL LOVE.
It is fair to say that the five-year-old was fairly disappointing last time out at Newmarket. In a race she had won the year prior, she never looked comfortable and should hopefully come along nicely with that run under her belt.
She reopposes against William Knight’s Frost At Dawn who finished a close second and who poses the main danger here.
Last season Haggas’ filly was able to secure a win at Royal Ascot before going on to finish an impressive third in the Sprint Cup later in the season over course and distance.
She is clearly a filly with heaps of ability and, if she can bounce back here, she could be the one to beat.

15:50 Goodwood - Silver Knott @ 9/4
Goodwood gets its flat season underway and the feature of the day is the Festival Stakes.
While all of these have a bit to prove coming into this, Charlie Appleby’s SILVER KNOTT looks set to make amends for his second place finish last time out.
Having his first race in Britain in two years, Godolphin's five-year-old went off as the odds-on favourite in the Betfred Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket earlier this month, but couldn't hold off the winner after leading too aggressively early on.
Despite this, the Charlie Appleby-trained charge, who has shown good international form, drops down to a mile and two furlongs at and could be worth another chance if he can reproduce his previous performances abroad.

19:47 Pontefract - Made All @ 6/5
Sam England’s MADE ALL is the selection following a particularly noteworthy victory at Catterick earlier this month.
The four year old gelding demonstrated considerable promise upon his debut for the England stable, securing a comfortable win suggesting that there is more to come from him.
While the field includes several runners who enter this contest boasting solid and consistent recent form, Made All remains fairly unexposed over this trip and should be able to defy his 5lb penalty at Pontefract.
