Horse Racing Tips: Party Vibes for Bass at Winter Million Festival

Day one of the Berkshire Winter Million Weekend takes place at Windsor on Friday and it is one of six meetings across the UK and Ireland on a busy start to the weekend.
Among my Friday horse racing tips is one for trainer David Bass who justified favouritism last time out and can continue her good form once more.
Horse Racing Tips - Friday, January 17
13:25 Market Rasen - Nocte Volatus @ 7/2
NOCTE VOLATUS is set to take flight at Market Rasen in hope to make his return back to the winners’ enclosure.
Tom Lacey’s 10-year-old was unfortunate to bump into the subsequent Cheltenham December Gold Cup winner last time out and proved to be no match for Gemirande as he was denied his hat-trick bid.
However, despite his impressive form, he could still be coming into this veterans’ chase well handicapped having previously been rated as high as 134.
Connections have opted to stick to this distance and he’ll handle the ground well, with the additional bonus of keeping the partnership with 7lb claimer Cameron Iles, who has steered his mount to top-two finishes in both previous outings together.

14:25 Windsor - Party Vibes @ 10/3
Failing to finish outside the top three since her seasonal reappearance, PARTY VIBES can keep the good times going on Day 1 of the Winter Million festival.
David Bass’ mare arrives here on the back of two strong novice chase performances, where she was beaten in Listed company on debut at Bangor finishing behind Gordon Elliott’s Shecouldbeanything and former Cheltenham Festival winner You Wear It Well.
While proving no match for those two, she was able to finish well ahead of the remainder of the field that day and backed up that form with a win last time out when justifying favouritism at a short odds price at Exeter.
Today will see her stepping out of novice chasing company for the first time but has demonstrated on her two previous outings that she could very well be up for the challenge by putting up a big performance here at Windsor.

14:35 Market Rasen - Eldorado Allen @ 4/1
This 2024 Veterans' Chase Series Final has been pushed back due to weather and finds itself at a new venue. However the show must go on for these veterans as ELDORADO ALLEN is set to lock horns once more with Copperhead.
The Tizzard team have enjoyed a stellar career with Eldorado Allen boasting a top Racing Post Rating (RPR) of 164 over fences, however his past performances have made his current races that bit more difficult with him having to endure the top weight burden in his two previous starts.
Nevertheless, he has performed well given the circumstances along with the fact he is racing following his second wind operation in less than a year.
He remains at the higher end of the weights coming into this contest today, however with those runs under his belt he will have every opportunity in this company under Brendan Powell.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
