There's a bumper eight-race card from Hexham on Tuesday which features a competitive handicap hurdle at 20:28.

Susan Corbett looks to have a real chance of taking the £7,789 first prize, as expanded on in my Hexham tips below.

17:25 - Better Be Definite @ 5/2

Nick Alexander has saddled three winners from his last eight runners and the Glenrothes-based trainer looks set for another good evening at Hexham.

Better Be Definite is the trainer's first runner on the card in the opening conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle and the six-year-old looks to have a huge chance of claiming the spoils.

The son of Clovis Du Berlais scored at Ayr in March when beating stablemate Arctic Man, who has since franked the form at Perth last week.

Better Be Definite then went on to finish second, beaten only half-a-length over course and distance earlier this month.

That runners-up spot behind Atomic Angel was an excellent effort and the unexposed six-year-old can head to the winners’ enclosure today, as he drops in class for this run.

18:58 - Warriors Story @ 2/1

Moving onto the novices’ handicap chase over two-and-a-half miles and trainer Alexander can score again, this time with Warriors Story.

The eight-year-old ran an excellent race when finishing third behind a runaway winner over course and distance last time out, and that performance can probably be upgraded a little, given Warriors Story was the one runner who attempted to serve it up to a nine-and-a-half-length winner.

The bulk of the opposition are coming off a disappointing run, while others are returning from a break and Warriors Story looks primed to battle to success.

20:28 - Les's Legacy @ 3/1

The final bet on the card comes in the feature handicap hurdle where Les's Legacy looks capable of continuing his fine form at the track.

The seven-year-old, who has finished in the first two in 10 of his 25 career hurdle starts, has form figures of 25221145 at Hexham and was only just touched off over course and distance 10 days ago.

Susan Corbett’s charge looks set for another big performance at the Northumberland venue.
