There are six races from Hamilton Park on Tuesday afternoon, with action at the Scottish venue taking place between 14:15-16:52.

Ground conditions are forecast to be 'good', with the feature contest being the Class 2 Almada Mile Handicap over the extended mile at 15:15. We've got a trio of runners to consider at Hamilton, including improving filly Rose Branch for the David O'Meara yard.

14:45 Hamilton - Rose Branch @ 7/2

An extended mile is the journey ahead of the six contenders in the Duck Allan 80th Birthday Celebrations Handicap, the second race of the afternoon at Hamilton.

Four of the six contenders finished first or second in their latest outings. David O'Meara's Miaswell, along with Tim Easterby's Mysteryofthesands and Wait And Hope for Karl Burke are all respected, but it is this month's course and distance scorer ROSE BRANCH who earns the nod to go in again.

The Kingman filly was formerly with George Boughey and hadn't shown a great deal in four runs during 2023 for that stable.

She returned to action here over C&D 13 days ago and came from the rear to score under Paul Mulrennan, drawing away with eventual second Naturalia and seeing her off with something in hand.

She's 6lb higher now in this follow-up attempt but is getting weight from the field and is taken to double her tally at the first time of asking.

15:15 Hamilton - Bubbles Wonky @ 10/1

The feature Almada Mile Handicap is also set to be contested over an extended mile and a chance is taken on BUBBLES WONKY for the Tim Easterby team in the King Power Racing silks.

The Lope De Vega colt won a Catterick novice over 7f on heavy ground in October on second start and reappeared after 205 days off to finish second over the same

C&D - this time on good - in May, running well under a 7lb penalty behind a solid rival.

He was then sent to Epsom on Derby Day last month for the Lester Piggott Handicap, upped to 1m2f on handicap bow off an opening mark of 87.

William Buick was on board and his colt was in trouble some way out, perhaps with his stamina challenged, but also having not really taken to Epsom.

This is less demanding and the drop back in trip looks a good move at this juncture. He's lightly raced and still open to doing much better.

16:15 Hamilton - L'eagle Aid @ 5/1

Having shaped with lots of promise in his first two runs of the season at Beverley (1m2f, good to firm) and Doncaster (1m4f, good to soft), L'eagle Aid arrives here off the back of a lesser showing at Thirsk (1m4f, good to soft) recently.

He was ridden forward in those initial two outings and was within a length of the winner at the line in both instances.

Last time, he was held up at the rear and raced too keenly, ensuring he had little left to give at the end of that Thirsk contest.

From an unchanged mark, Charlie Johnston's three-year-old could be underestimated by the market now, especially if Joe Fanning is able to bounce out and dictate matters in front.
