Last year Betfred announced they are the new sponsors of the 1000 and 2000 Guineas, completing the full set of Classics alongside the Betfred Derby, Betfred Oaks and Betfred St Leger. To celebrate, we have a brilliant new giveaway competition open to all Betfred customers, where you can win tickets to ALL five classics, as well as £2,000 in cash!

Betfred was announced last June as the new sponsor of Newmarket’s 2000 Guineas and 1000 Guineas from 2025 onwards. The multi-year agreement means the bookmaker became the first brand to sponsor all five of Britain’s Classics – the others being the Betfred Oaks and Betfred Derby at Epsom Downs and Doncaster’s Betfred St Leger - at the same time.

To mark their sponsorship of the prestigious contests Betfred also announced that a £2 million bonus will be on offer to connections of any horse which wins the ‘Betfred Triple Crown’ - the Betfred 2000 Guineas, Betfred Derby and Betfred St Leger. The Triple Crown has been won 15 times, although not since Nijinsky in 1970.

As well as sponsoring the 2000 and 1000 Guineas – which take place on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket on Saturday 3rd May and Sunday 4th May respectively - Betfred will also sponsor an additional seven races across the three days of the Betfred Guineas Festival.

What will not qualify?

What can you win?

The prize will be awarded to a randomly selected winner who has replied to the post on X or opted in.
The prize is one pair of general admission tickets to all five Betfred Classic race days plus £2,000 in cash.

When will you be credited with your prize?

The prize draw will take place within 24 hours of the promotional period ending.
The winner will be contacted via X direct message or by telephone within 24 hours of the prize draw taking place.
Once the winner has accepted their prize, via X direct message or telephone, the cash prize will be credited to their Betfred Account within 24 hours.
The winner will be sent their tickets a few days prior to each event, to their registered address on their Betfred Account.

Are there any other limitations you should know about?

You can earn a maximum of two entries into the prize draw.
Tickets will be standard entry to each event and will be sent out via recorded delivery a few days prior to the event taking place.
There is no travel, parking or accommodation included in the prize.
Betfred will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.
No purchase necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the competition. Betfred will not request any payment for tickets and will only be contacted through the official Betfred channels.
Betfred will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. Betfred takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

Can we change or remove this Offer?

Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Betfred reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal value.
We may remove and change this offer without notice. These changes will not affect any offer that you may have already Opted In to, or placed any qualifying bets towards, other than where this is necessary to prevent fraud or other similar unlawful behaviour.
Betfred reserve the right to withdraw the promotion, if required, for reasons beyond our control, such as system failures or supplier withdrawal (not exhaustive). In the instance that this happens, we will endeavour to communicate any withdrawal in a timely manner.
