Great yarmouth racecourse

There is a seven-race flat card to get stuck into at Great Yarmouth on Thursday afternoon, with the action running from 14:05 until 17:35.

Amongst our three selections is a three-year-old for Faye Bramley that should be suited to the track and trip. Read on for my Great Yarmouth tips.

15:50 - Spy Kingdom @ 1/1

The fourth race on the card - a Maiden Stakes over 1m - has attracted 12 runners and there is likely to be plenty of interest in the John & Thady Gosden-trained Kaizen.

Roman Centurion is also expected to be fancied on seasonal bow for John Ryan, but preference is instead for Spy Kingdom from Archie Watson's yard.

The three-year-old showed plenty of promise when finishing second of 15 on first effort at Newmarket in a 1m maiden in April, losing out to High Stock by just a head.

Oisin Murphy was on board for that runners-up effort and he has been booked in for this ride, so there is plenty to like about the duo's chances of striking at Great Yarmouth.

17:00 - She's The Duchess @ 6/1

The penultimate race is a 10-runner Fillies' Handicap over 7f and this looks to be a competitive contest, with the likes of Stellenbosch, Jowddah and Love Is The Law all holding solid claims.

However, the nod for this one goes to She's The Duchess, who enjoyed a winning debut at Newcastle over this trip in January when edging out The New Bay Pearl by a neck.

Carrying a penalty for that success when next seen at Pontefract over 6f, the three-year-old finished second behind High Stock, losing out by a neck this time.

There was plenty to like about that performance and She's The Duchess is certainly one for the shortlist heading into handicaps.

17:35 - Pay Attention @ 11/2

Rounding off the card is a 'Confined' Handicap for horses that have won no more than one race and a field of seven will battle it out for glory, with the Hugo Palmer-trained Triple Double A expected to garner much attention.

Chiaretto is another worthy of interest for the in-form Michael Bell yard on his handicap debut, but preference in the finale is for Faye Bramley's Pay Attention.

This will be the first run for Bramley since leaving Tom Ward's stable, with the three-year-old's parting performance coming at Great Yarmouth over 1m when fourth of 12 in a handicap.

Pay Attention was forced to weave through the field that day, reaffirming he has the stamina for this sort of trip, and more improvement is expected now turning out for a new stable.
