Aintree Grand National Meeting Saturday Tips: Owen’s selections includes 6/1 Nap

The final day of Aintree's Grand National Meeting features another seven races, including three Grade 1s and of course the main event itself.
I've studied the card and come up with a few Aintree Grand National Meeting Saturday tips - including a 6/1 Nap.
Aintree Grand National Meeting Saturday Tips
- 13:20 - Act Of Authority each-way @ 8/1
- 14:30 - Imperial Saint each-way @ 6/1
- 15:05 - Home By The Lee @ 6/1

13:20 - Act Of Authority each-way @ 8/1
Olly Murphy's ACT OF AUTHORITY was a big eye-catcher when runner-up in the Martin Pipe at last month's Cheltenham Festival, and I'm backing him to go one better at Aintree on Saturday.
The selection came from right out the back of the 24-strong field, switching from the outside to the inside turning for home and needing to pass the majority of his rivals to get into contention. He eventually finished second, just over four lengths behind Gordon Elliott's impressive winner.
That form was boosted by the winner Wodhooh giving Lossiemouth a real race in Thursday's Aintree Hurdle, suggesting her new mark of 152 is more than fair.
Act Of Authority was raised 5lbs for his effort in the Cotswolds, but conditional jockey Lewis Saunders - who's operating at a quite impressive 23% strike rate this season - can make use of his seven-pound claim here, meaning his mount will carry 11-5 instead of 11-12.
The step up to three miles for the first time could bring out further improvement and he'll be at home on the quicker ground.
I like him a lot in a tricky opener and with Betfred paying 5 places instead of 4, the suggestion is to back him each-way.

14:30 - Imperial Saint each-way @ 6/1
In the absence of impressive Cheltenham Festival winner Myretown, this Premier Handicap Chase over 3m1f looks wide-open.
Heading the market is IMPERIAL SAINT, who gets a quietly-confident vote from me.
The seven-year-old son of Saint Des Saints has proved highly-progressive over fences this season, winning on debut here on Merseyside back in October off a mark of 124. Today, he's 20lbs higher having won another two races, also at Aintree.
He's a bit of a course specialist who acts on good ground, and his trainers Philip Hobbs & Johnson White are in fantastic form, operating at a 24% strike rate courtesy of five winners from 21 runners in the past fortnight.
It's another competitive affair and Betfred are paying extra places (5 instead of 4) once again, so it's another each-way suggestion.

15:05 - Home By The Lee @ 6/1
I'm a big fan of Teahupoo, but out-of-form trainer Gordon Elliott has always insisted he's a better horse after a break and the Liverpool Hurdle - a Grade 1 over an extended three miles - comes just over three weeks after the Stayers'. He's also a horse who appreciates a bit of cut in the ground.
Kitzbuhel is an interesting runner for the all-conquering Willie Mullins/Paul Townend combination and Strong Leader won this race last year, but I can't get away from HOME BY THE LEE.
Despite his age, Joseph O'Brien's 10-year-old has been in the form of his life this term, winning the G2 Lismullen Hurdle in November before the G1 Savills Hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas. On both occasions he beat Bob Olinger, who won the Stayers' Hurdle at last month's Cheltenham Festival, with a degree of ease.
The selection unseated rider JJ Slevin at an early stage in the Stayers', so he essentially comes here fresh, and he acts on decent ground.
There's lots going for the son of Fame And Glory who rates my Nap of the Day.
