Racing goes ahead at both Wetherby and Ascot which is good news, plus some good action from Ayr to look forward to. Here are 4 I think are all in with a chance!

Frankie Four - tips for Saturday

  • 12:32 Ayr - Little Miss Dante @ 11/8
  • 12:40 Wetherby - Dontyawantme each-way @ 10/1
  • 2:05 Ascot - First Flow @ 11/2
  • 3:15 Ascot - Altobelli @ 4/1

12:32 Ayr - Little Miss Dante @ 11/8

A short price to kick us off; Little Miss Dante for Olly Murphy, who is in great form. She has finished second and first in two NHF races, recording the highest RPR’s in that discipline from the field.

Sean Bowen will ride, as he does another of Olly Murphy’s in the first – both of which have been backed. I think he is sending a strong team and Little Miss Dante could be his best chance.

12:40 Wetherby - Dontyawantme each-way @ 10/1

It’s a competitive race with the unbeaten Cherie D’am and the expensive Brook Bay at the top of the market, but I think there is some E/W value to be found in Dontyawantme who won a point and has run well in two NHF races on soft ground.

She was beaten-favourite last time out but that was a decent effort, and on good ground that likely didn’t suit. Her pointing success would suggest hurdles should be no issue, and she gets her soft ground today.

2:05 Ascot - First Flow @ 11/2

He is 11 and he does have to carry 12 stone but First Flow's best-ever performance came over course and distance, and on soft ground. His form took a dip last season but I am hoping that wasn’t down to him getting older; but instead because he was tried over further.

Back to 2m 1f I think he has a great chance at a track he loves.

3:15 Ascot - Altobelli @ 4/1

Altobelli recorded some impressive RPR’s on his first 3 starts before being a little disappointing at Aintree, but that was in a Grade 1 and they did go quick on the front end. He races off of a mark of 134 today and I’d like to think this contest is within his range.
