Eklat De Rire is now a 10-year-old, and two or three years back there was some thought that he could be there or thereabouts in a big race or two. Back in 2021 at the Brown Advisory at Cheltenham his jockey that day expected a big race but she was unseated at the 12th, and since that disappointing result not much has gone right.

He did return to Cheltenham this year and was part of a field full of Grand National horses in the Ultima. Despite going off at 25/1, for a while he was firmly in the mix and did hit the front before being pulled-up and not showing much.

Without a win since a small four-horse field at Wexford back in 2021, there is no reason to back this horse to suddenly turn around all the recent form and put in the run of his life. One to pass on unless you have pulled him out of the office pool and want to back your horse for a few quid.
