Dundalk Tips: Prince primed to pounce on Polytrack again

With the weather continuing to cause havoc across Britain and Ireland the onus falls on the all-weather courses to provide the racing, with Newcastle, Kempton and Dundalk all obliging on Wednesday.
Our focus is on the Irish venue though, where we have three selections from the eight-race Dundalk card which kicks off at 1.50 with the last race scheduled for 5.40.
We have three selections for you, including a representative of the in-form Ger Lyons yard, a course-and-distance winner and a filly who should relish an increased trip on her return to the all-weather.
Dundalk Betting Tips
14:20 - Sumptuary Law @ 10/3
The second race on the card, the View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Median Auction Maiden (Div II) over seven furlongs provides us with our first selection, the Ger Lyons-trained Sumptuary Law.
The two-year-old caught the eye when second over course and distance here last month, being beaten only by a smart Adrian McGuiness filly and having the favourite back in third.
But perhaps most eye catching is the recent record of his trainer Lyons, who has an 18 per cent strike rate at Dundalk this year and landed two more winners on Friday’s card at the Irish venue.
Sumptuary Law could be the next in a growing list of winners for Lyons and should have enough to land this, with that October second the best form in a field made up predominantly of newcomers.
16:35 - Inishmot Prince @ 9/2
Our next selection runs in the sixth race on the card, with Inishmot Prince expected to go well in the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap over five furlongs.
T G McGourt’s five-year-old won impressively over course and distance last month, struggling for room before navigating a troubled passage to land a first win since 2022.
He is up 5lb for that run but can cope with a new mark of 68, having won off 72 last November.
James Ryan’s tactics helped hugely in landing that victory and the jockey has been retained for this outing, which should help Inishmot Prince overcome the tougher opposition.
Maggie McGrath looks the biggest danger representing Daniel James Murphy, whose entries have won 33 per cent of their races at Dundalk in the past fortnight.
However, she is up 7lb for her latest success and her headgear has been switched from cheekpieces to blinkers, so Inishmot Prince remains the pick.
17:40 - Bedelia @ 33/1
Betfred are offering four places in the closing race, the Now Racing Every Wednesday At Dundalk Handicap (Div II) over 1m2 1/2f, so it only makes sense our final selection represents some potential each-way value.
Bedelia has had an interesting career to date, catching the eye when a 50/1 second at this course in 2022 before impressively landing a claimer at Ballinrobe and then subsequently making zero impact whatsoever over hurdles since that win in June.
But she remains of interest here, back on the Polytrack. She runs off a workable mark of 55 - her previous runs at Dundalk were from a rating of 63 - and with an extra furlong to utilise.
Her Ballinrobe win came over 1m1 1/2f and she finished strongly that day, suggesting this slightly increased trip will suit.
Bedelia has a favourable draw in stall four and, should her odds drift into double figures, she would rate a solid each-way play in this extra-place finale.
