Sunday Dublin Racing Festival 2025 Tips: Back team Double Green – and gold

After a fantastic first day of the Dublin Racing Festival headlined by the imperious Galopin Des Champs, we go once more on Sunday with an excellent eight-race card that runs from 12:40-16:25.
My Sunday Dublin Racing Festival 2025 tips features two for the 'Double Green' of Simon Munir & Isaac Souede - plus one in the iconic green and gold of Mr. McManus.
Sunday Dublin Racing Festival 2025 Tips
13:10 - Impaire Et Passe @ 11/4
This Grade 1 novice chase over 2m5½f promises plenty. Closutton stablemates and former Baring Bingham winners Ballyburn and IMPAIRE ET PASSE take each other on - and I fancy the latter to come out on top.
Ballyburn was comfortably last season's best novice hurdler, but that form has worked out terribly and he's yet to convince me over fences. His jumping feels very deliberate and, at times, slow.
On the other hand, Impaire Et Passe has looked a natural. He won, albeit as entitled to as 2/13f, by 12 lengths on debut at Fairyhouse back in November before a cosy success in the G1 Faugheen Novice Chase at Limerick over Limerick. That form is nothing special, but he won with lots in hand.
The seven-year-old son of Diamond Boy seems to have been forgotten to an extent after an underwhelming second season over hurdles. He was billed as the next big thing after his Cheltenham triumph - beating subsequent Arkle winner Gaelic Warrior by a widening six and a half lengths - and that has never been forgotten by me at least.
His form over hurdles is superior to Ballyburn's and while that might not yet be the case over the bigger obstacles, he's not been tested as much as Ballyburn, who bumped into a machine in Sir Gino at Kempton over Christmas. We'll get to see the best of him here alright.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
14:10 - El Fabiolo @ 7/2
Speaking of forgotten horses, EL FABIOLO is fancied for the Dublin Chase.
I appreciate he's returning from a fair layoff and therefore mightn't be 100 per cent, but he's rated 174 - nine pounds superior to Gaelic Warrior who is his closest rival in that regard - and has only disappointed once in 11 starts on these shores.
That anomaly was at Cheltenham last year, when he was sent off 2/9f for the Champion Chase but was pulled-up after a bad mistake at the fifth fence. That's easily forgiven.
If I remember correctly, people viewed his subsequent second to Jonbon in the Celebration Chase at Sandown in a negative light, perhaps as he was again odds-on and didn't jump great (when has he ever?), but that's incredibly harsh given how good Nicky Henderson's star continues to be.
If his well-being and ability was guaranteed, El Fabiolo would be a clear favourite against Gaelic Warrior, who is a little overrated and sports a first-time tongue tie, in my book.
Even factoring in the time spent on the sidelines, he's a great bet at current prices.

15:50 - McLaurey @ 10/3
I take zero credit for this, but Mark Walsh is going all the way down to 10st 2lb - his lowest riding weight in over a year - in order to ride Emmet Mullins' MCLAUREY in this Listed two-mile handicap hurdle.
That's surely a tip in itself, let alone the fact JP McManus' lightly-raced and progressive six-year-old has a highly-appealing profile.
The son of Jukebox Jury finished out the back of the TV on his rules debut at Fairyhouse last March, but was a much-improved second to a 127-rated Henry de Bromhead inmate at Tipperary about eight months later.
His third to James's Gate (now rated 136) at Punchestown in mid-December was even better - and then he got off the mark at the fourth attempt in no uncertain terms at Limerick around Christmas time.
On all that evidence, I suspect an opening mark of 120 seriously underestimates him and on top of the jockey booking, I think he's another cracking bet for Sunday's card.
He's been well-backed over the past 24 hours, but I genuinely still believe he's a bet at the quoted price. He's got that much going for him.
