Getting underway at 14:40 on day two of the Cheltenham Festival, there’s always a lot of interest in the Coral Cup. This year is no different and all eyes will turn to Prestbury Park on Wednesday afternoon as this massive field goes to the start line.

We’ve taken a look at some of the key runners and riders heading into this one and below you can find the Coral Cup Odds 2025.

Coral Cup Odds

Bunting @ 5/1

Owned by Tony Bloom, Brighton and Hove Albion’s owner, there’s been a lot of support for Bunting, trained by Willie Mullins. Paul Townend has been booked to ride the five-year-old and he’s got plenty of supporters, with the legendary Ruby Walsh saying that Bunting was the best handicapped horse in the Mullins camp.

He was around 16/1 before the money came in for him and this is a step up in trip and I’m not sure I’m as keen as the market is.

Be Aware @ 5/1

If Dan Skelton is going to topple Mullins in the Trainers’ Championship this year, he needs to get big winners in the Festival Handicaps and the Graded races.

Be Aware is one of those that certainly has a chance here from his new mark of 137, although he didn’t show well at the Ladbroke Hurdle in December. However, his run at Greatwood earlier in the season looks more and more impressive as he finished just half-a-length behind the now 150-rated Burdett Road over 2m, and I think that performance makes him a major contender here.

Impose Toi @ 8/1

Wearing headgear for the first time and could have more to give. Looked incredibly quick at Newbury in November, where he proved any doubters wrong with a wonderful display of stamina over 2m 4f.

Nicky Henderson’s seven-year-old impressed at Newbury but he’s not been seen since January but after three hot handicap showings last term he could do well here.

Comfort Zone @ 8/1

He’s very fresh heading into this one and won here as a juvenile. Also won a Flat handicap over 2m in October, and has recorded two third-place finishes over the hurdles at Galway and Leopardtown. He is surely one to watch as he should be in contention in the latter stages.

Ballyadam @ 12/1

Ballyadam shows no sign of slowing down despite now being 10 years old. He’s rated as high as 151 and this will be his fifth Cheltenham Festival, having finished fifth in two County Hurdles and second in the Superme Novices’ and last year’s Coral Cup. If he can come back and go one better this year, it will mark him out as a Cheltenham great, and I see no reason why he won’t be in contention at the very least.

He impressively got the better of Saint Sam and Sir Gerhard in the New Year’s Resolution Hurdle at Punchestown and that has been his only run this season as he is held back for a big showing here. In the famous red and white, I’d be keen to consider him for E/W value.

Jimmy Du Seuil @ 12/1

It feels like Jimmy Du Seuil could be slightly overpriced in this market as he has top-class novice form behind Ballyburn last season, as he came second in the Gallaghers Novices Hurdle.

He runs off that novice hurdle mark and hasn’t run since May last year, so it’s up to you how you view that. He could be rusty or incredibly fresh, and I’m leaning towards the latter.
