Triumph Hurdle Odds

East India Dock @ 2/1

James Owen's East India Dock has steadily shortened in the betting and is now the favourite to pick up this huge prize on Friday.

He is unbeaten over hurdles and his last two wins have both been at Cheltenham, in a pair of Triumph Hurdle trials, both by huge distances.

This would be another step up but judging by the odds, it's one he is capable of making.

Lulamba @ 9/4

Lulamba was the early ante-post betting favourite but has since slipped below East India Dock at the head of the betting.

Nicky Henderson is chasing a record eighth Triumph Hurdle win and this brilliant horse should give him a great run for his money.

In his two runs thus far he has won easily in France before beating a decent field at Ascot in January. This should be a great battle between the two.

Hello Neighbour @ 9/2

If there is to be a surprise winner out of the top two, it could come in the form of Hello Neighbour, who Gavin Cromwell looks to have got in peak shape.

This son of Derby winner Harzand is unbeaten in four outings thus far and has looked hugely impressive over hurdles.

A couple of wins at Leopardstown over the likes of Lady Vega Allen and Sony Bill have done nothing to dissuade backers and he appears to be the best of the Irish contenders.

Cheltenham Betting Odds

Lady Vega Allen @ 10/1

Willie Mullins has 11 runners in this opener but Lady Vega Allen looks the current pick of them.

This French-bred filly won on debut on home soil before a couple of impressive outings at Leopardstown, finishing behind Hello Neighbour on both occasions.

Gibbs Island @ 14/1

Gibbs Island is a Raceshare syndicate-owned four-year-old who has had a dream start to his life over hurdles.

Back-to-back wins at Sedgefield and Haydock will have already rewarded those savvy investors but this would £84k prize money would take it to another level.

He looked impressive in that blow-out victory last time out, but would need a fair amount of luck to beat the horses above him in the betting here.

Sainte Lucie @ 20/1

Another Mullins runner picked up from across the English Channel, who looked decent on his Irish debut at Punchestown, but was brought back down to earth with a bump at Leopardstown last month.

He finished dead last in a race containing Hello Neighbour and Lady Vega Allen and wll need a huge improvement to contend here.
