Cheshire trainer Oliver Greenall joined Matt Hulmes, Frankie Foster and Joel Ross for Episode 10 of Road To Cheltenham.
Greenall, who operates alongside Josh Guerriero at Stockton Hall, provided the lowdown on the yard's festive runners, including Grand National favourite Iroko who won a Graduation Chase at Ascot just before Christmas.
Cheltenham Festival winner Jagwar, described as an "absolute monster of a horse" with a "massive engine", was also discussed. Greenall hopes to see him improve in the jumping department, but clearly the JP McManus-owned seven-year-old is held in very high regard.
The plan for both horses is mapped out, with Jagwar's next run set to decide his Festival target - a return to the Plate or a step up in trip for the Ultima.
The lads also engaged in a fascinating chat about the Irish vs British state of play. Is the tide turning after a period of Irish dominance?
Matt, Frankie and Joel go on to discuss Gold Cup hero Inothewayurthinkin, who it's fair to say is becoming a bit of an enigma. Is he backable at 11/2 to retain his crown in March, or is he regressing?
Speaking of Gold Cup horses, could No Drama This End be one for the future? Paul Nicholls' exciting novice and Turners hopeful is put under the microscope.
Horse In Focus becomes Trainer In Focus again this week, with Ben Pauling receiving the honour. King George hero The Jukebox Man, Vanderpoel, Mambonumberfive and some top novice hurdlers - it's a yard going from strength-to-strength.
Finally, the lads produce their first antepost tips of the season. At 14/1 and 25/1, Joel and Matt offer up selections for the Supreme and Albert Bartlett respectively - while Frankie's got handicaps on mind. Watch out for his selection when the Betfred markets open.
