Tough to believe but it's Friday - and Day 4 of the National Hunt Festival from Cheltenham. Our last Lucky 15 tips are primed and ready - we're had winners this week but not quite set the world alight - perhaps today will be the day!

The main function of this piece all the year round is to illustrate that you can spread your fun across several races, and though we suggest some likely types and indeed have our share of good fortune results-wise, the ball is entirely in your court. I hope you've indeed had some fun, perhaps had a few returns, and enjoyed those magnificent horses. How lucky we are. Thanks for your company this week - record numbers have been involved with the column, and for that, a heartfelt thank you.

Gold Cup Bet

13:20 - Hello Neighbour @ 9/2

I'm thinking that we'll end the week with an each-way Lucky 15, maximising our chances of a return and reacting to what look to be, as always at this amazing place, some super-competitive heats.

In a companion piece I've gone through this race advertising the chances of Hello Neighbour, together with a flavour of some of his opposition, who rate lively each-way threats. It's all right HERE if you fancy a read.

16:00 - Inothewayurthinkin @ 13/2

The Cheltenham Gold Cup now, one of our standout events in racing, and a time when we think about some of our noble friends who have graced the occasion in the past for over a hundred years, since 1924.

Names like Arkle. Golden Miller. Kauto Star. Best Mate. Cottage Rake. Desert Orchid. Denman. Legends all.

Once again I've covered this in a companion piece and think that the great two-time winner Galopin Des Champs might, just might, have his hands full with a young pretender on Friday afternoon by the name of Inothewayurthinkin. It's sure to be epic - kindly read my thoughts about the race HERE.

16:40 - Its On The Line @ 9/2

It's the 'Blue Riband' for Hunter chasers now - the big one for the amateur riders, over the Gold Cup distance.

Among such jockeys we're lucky to have had several down the years who in all fairness are outstanding, and who would grace the professional ranks. One such is Derek O'Connor, pride of County Galway and no stranger to riding winners at this electric annual get-together.

Its On The Line is owned by JP McManus, who's provided Derek with lots of first-class ammunition down the years. Emmet Mullins trains the eight-year-old Presenting gelding, and this jockey was up top for the horse's latest outing 34 days ago at Naas.

Racing in all candour a bit disappointingly I guess, the pair trailed in 17+l behind winner Ryehill, who opposes once again this afternoon with an obvious chance. That run from the selection was way short of his best however, and he's far better judged on his success in the Champion Hunter at Punchestown last May, running on well to take a thriller by 1.75l.

He'll be trained to the minute for this and let's hope for a trademark flying finish up that punishing final hill.

17:20 - Wodhooh @ 4/1

The closing heat is the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockey's Handicap Hurdle, honouring the ground-breaking, record-shredding Somerset trainer who was a huge player predominantly in the 80s and 90s.

My selection is trained by Gordon Elliott in County Meath; a five-year-old mare who is a scintillating 6-6 over timber. Wodhooh warmed up for this with a win here in December over this trip, after a massive 322-day break.

She returned in career-best order, and is a former inmate at Sir Michael Stoute's, where she failed to win in a handful of attempts on the level - joining Gordon in September 2023. It's been roses all the way ever since.

She's got a chilling mark of 141 to overcome but this yard are used to producing the odd miracle and who knows - another might be on the runway as we speak.

Thanks again for your company this week, and take care.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!

The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.25p each-way Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £640 for your total £7.50 stake.

Fred, 'The Bonus King,' invented the 'Lucky' series of bets and their bonuses. My colleague Adam has set out all you need to know with this handy guide - take a look by clicking here.
