Cheltenham Day 2 Lucky 15 Tips: Willie’s ace can settle the accounts

It's time for Cheltenham Festival Day 2, and our Lucky 15 Tips. A little bit of welcome joy yesterday, and we attack Wednesday with lots of optimism. We went each-way and looked to seek out the value, and had a brilliant start with a 7/1 winner. Today we're leaning towards some shorties who really should be doing the business, fingers crossed.
First race is at 13:20, the new norm for this year, and here's how we see the day panning out.
Lucky 15 Tips - Wednesday, March 12
(prices are accurate at time of publication and can fluctuate between now and the off-time)
13:20 - Final Demand @ 6/4
I've previewed this one in a companion piece and strongly fancy Willie Mullins' hurdler Final Demand to take the Turners. Read the theory right HERE.
14:00 - Ballyburn @ 8/11
It's funny, but this imposing seven-year-old gelded son of Flemensfirth seems to have been around for ages!
Ballyburn won a Festival G1 hurdle last term in brilliant fashion and has nearly matched his lofty hurdle rating (163 at best) over fences (160). He arrives here fresh from top-grade success at Leopardstown 38 days ago and on official marks is very comfortably the top-rated animal in the contest.
It's another Mullins/Townend conveyance, the pair still shaking I'm guessing from Tuesday's beyond-dramatic Champion Hurdle, and I'm hoping that Wednesday sees them back in the winners' enclosure. As if we needed reminding, that's sport, folks. You just never know.
15:20 - Stumptown @ 5/2
The flamboyant X-Country spectacle now, and it's to a horse who flies around here with panache that I'm turning.
Stumptown is trained by Gavin Cromwell in Navan and will be ridden by Keith Donoghue, a past master in this kind of test. The eight-year-old gelding is in career-best order, is lightly-raced and fresh, and can defy topweight of 11st 10lb; which includes an 8lb hike for scoring over this course in December.
16:00 - Jonbon @ 5/6
Once again I can't resist popping this one into my Lucky 15, as he's surely got a fantastic chance of becoming the Champion Two-Mile chaser for 2025. Fingers crossed for what would be a richly-deserved success for Jonbon - and you can read my thoughts on the race and selection right HERE.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £60 for your total £7.50 stake.
