Who is eligible for this Welcome Offer?

New customers residing in the UK, Ireland and Gibraltar who are at least 18 years old.
Customers who register an account from 00:00 UK Time on Friday 6th March until 23:59 UK Time on Friday 13th March 2026.
Customers must be successfully verified by us before any Free Bets are awarded. Please see our Verification Policy for more details.

How do you get the Free Bets?

Make your first qualifying deposit of at least £10 within 7 days of registering an account with us.
A qualifying deposit must be made directly with a debit card, or a debit card linked to Apple Pay or Truelayer (Instant Bank Transfer). No other payment method will qualify.
Place your first bet of £10 or more on any qualifying Sportsbook markets, at odds of Evens or greater (2.0+), which must settle within 7-days of registering for your account. Two or more separate bets with a combined stake of £10 will not qualify. Only your very first valid bet will count.
If your bet is voided or cancelled by us: it will not count and the next valid bet you place will be considered instead.
If your account is set to euros you will need to deposit and bet €10 to qualify.

What will not qualify?

Bets placed using Free Bets.
Bets on Totepool and Virtual Sports.
If you CashOut your qualifying bet.

When will you be credited with your Free Bets?

Your £40 in Free Bets will be credited within 24 hours of your qualifying bet being settled, and can be used as followed:
- £20 to use on any Sportsbook Markets
- £20 to use on win only Accumulators (4+ selections).
Crediting may be delayed if additional documentation is required.

Are there any other limitations you should know about?

Free Bets cannot be withdrawn as cash and will not form part of any winnings returned.
Free Bets cannot be used on Combination Forecasts, Combination Tricasts, and Combination Forecast Doubles & Trebles bet types.
Accumulator Free Bets cannot be used on each-way accumulators.
Any unused Free Bets will expire 7 days after issue.
One welcome offer per address/IP address/device or mobile number. Previous account holders are not eligible for the offer. Anyone opening a Betfred.com account that has previously held an account with us that is closed does not qualify for the offer.
In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Betfred Management Team will be final and based on our Terms and Conditions.

Can we change or remove this Welcome Offer?

We may remove and change this Welcome Offer without notice. These changes will not affect any Welcome Offer that you may have already registered for, or placed any qualifying bets towards, other than where this is necessary to prevent fraud or other similar unlawful behaviour.
Betfred reserve the right to withdraw the promotion, if required, for reasons beyond our control, such as system failures or supplier withdrawal (not exhaustive). In the instance that this happens, we will endeavour to communicate any withdrawal in a timely manner.
