There are four UK meetings taking place on Thursday, with a mix of National Hunt and all-weather action.

There are Jumps cards from Taunton, Market Rasen and Sedgefield in the afternoon, while the evening action is on the Polytrack at Chelmsford. We've got three selections to follow from that later card at the Essex venue.

Today's Horse Races

18:00 Chelmsford – Revolutionise @ 16/1

Trainer Stuart Williams has leading claims in this 7f Class 4 handicap with REVOLUTIONISE. The Lope De Vega gelding has lots of experience and has finished in the frame in 22 of his 53 all-weather runs.

At his peak he was rated 94 and he has, more often than not in recent years, been rated in the 80s.

He is, though, now down to a mark of 76, his lowest all-weather assessment since November 2022.

He won on the turf at Brighton (7f, good to firm) in September and was a fair fourth over this C&D last month on his most recent start.

Eased 2lb, he is now some 3lb below his previous AW winning mark and Marco Ghiani's partner looks set for a big effort.

18:30 Chelmsford – Manara @ 9/2

A mile is the trip for the Class 6 Summer Weddings Here At CCR Nursery and it might be worth taking a chance on MANARA showing improved form for the Kevin Philippart De Foy team.

The Camelot filly hasn't shown a lot in her three runs to date, but she was never really in contention in 6f novice events at Kempton and Southwell in October before getting worked up in the starting stalls and scuppering her chance in a Class 4 novice at Newmarket at the start of this month.

She moves into nurseries now and is bred to be better than she has shown. The Amo Racing-owned filly drops into Class 6 fare here and has been handed an opening mark of 54 with David Egan on board.

She will step up in trip to a mile for the first time, a significant move, and it certainly isn't unreasonable to expect she will improve enough for that to be very competitive now in this company.

20:30 Chelmsford – Trackman @ 9/2

The finale is a Class 6 handicap over 1m2f and plenty of the runners have clouds hanging over them.

The likes of Sunset In Paris – a winner here over C&D in August and tried over hurdles at Huntingdon most recently -  as well as last month's course and distance second Semser are leading candidates but TRACKMAN might be an alternative.

The Simon Pearce-trained four-year-old remains a maiden after 13 career starts but has made the frame in two of his four runs on the all-weather. One of those was here in September 2023 and he was fifth in the race Sunset In Paris won at this venue in August.

He is 5lb better off with that rival now and gets a pair of first-time blinkers added. If he improves for the fitting of the headgear, he may go close at a decent price.
