Catterick Tips: Champagnesuperover can stump rivals

There’s a seven-race Jumps card from Catterick on Wednesday afternoon, with the ground currently described as good to soft, good in places.
I've put together a few Catterick tips, including Champagnesuperover who looks set to play a big part in the veterans' chase.
Catterick Tips - Wednesday, January 22
13:08 - Champagnesuperover @ 15/8
The Catterick card gets underway with a veterans’ chase at 13:08 and Champagnesuperover looks capable of bowling out his rivals.
Olly Murphy’s charge goes to post off a mark of 117 this afternoon having achieved a peak chase rating of 134 and there looks to be some juice off that weight.
Clearly, Champagnesuperover is unlikely to be able to reach those heights at this stage of his career, but Murphy's runner won a handicap chase over course and distance off a mark of 129 in 2022 and there was enough in the performance at Leicester last time out to suggest the fire still burns.
The step up in trip should suit Champagnesuperover, the ground is fine and the 10-year-old looks to hold a big chance for the red-hot Murphy yard.

14:38 - Ridin Solo @ 13/2
Ridin Solo gets cheekpieces on for the first time in the handicap hurdle at 14:30 and the seven-year-old can start what could be a good day for trainer Donald McCain.
The son of Ocovango has put in a string of consistent placed efforts this season and Ridin Solo ran an excellent race from the front to finish third in a maiden hurdle at Sedgefield 47 days ago.
This seven-year-old has been freshened up before a return to handicap company, which looks a wise move, and McCain’s charge could prove difficult to catch with cheekpieces added.
The Loughrea point winner has been a little unfortunate to not get his head in front over rules, but Ridin Solo can get his day in the sun at Catterick.

15:08 - Just Gino @ 5/1
The two-mile-and-three-furlong novices’ handicap chase at 15:08 can go the way of the lightly-raced Just Gino.
Donald McCain’s charge makes only his sixth start over rules and fourth over fences and it’s early days for the six-year-old.
Just Gino ran a cracker to finish a narrow second behind Beat The Edge at Catterick 21 days ago and a mark of 93 certainly looks attractive based on that effort.
There were only four runners in the contest that McCain’s hope went to post in last time out, and while there is a bigger field this afternoon, there are very few in-form rivals.
Just Gino cost connections £100,000 after winning a point at Lisronagh and there should be plenty more to come from the six-year-old.
