Brown Advisory Novices' Chase Odds - 14:10 Wednesday, March 13

  • Fact To File @ 10/11
  • Stay Away Fay @ 10/3
  • Monty's Star @ 6/1
  • American Mike @ 10/1
  • Sandor Clegane @ 16/1
  • Giovinco @ 20/1

Fact To File @ 10/11

Willie Mullins' Fact To File tops the betting at this moment in time at 10/11.

The seven-year-old was second in last year's Champion Bumper here and enjoyed back-to-back wins at Leopardstown in December and February. He was surprisingly beaten by American Mike on his comeback at Navan but he's well-respected heading into this race.

Stay Away Fay @ 10/3

Next in the betting is Stay Away Fay at 10/3, who was the Albert Bartlett winner last March, holding on gamely after being left alone at the last.

The seven-year-old has been very good over fences this term, winning three-mile events at Exeter and Sandown, before a fine third in open company in the Cotswold here in January.

Monty's Star @ 6/1

Monty's Star can be backed at 6/1 and will be ridden by Rachael Blackmore.

The seven-year-old has only two runs over fences, finishing third behind Corbetts Cross at Fairyhouse in December, before beating Three Card Brag by five-and-a-half lengths at Punchestown in a three-mile trip.

American Mike @ 10/1

Gordon Elliott's American Mike is next in the betting at 10/1, and was second in the Champion Bumper two seasons ago.

As mentioned, he was triumphant against Fact To File at Navan back in November, and he resumed winning ways when upped to three miles in a Grade 2 contest there last month.

Sandor Clegane @ 16/1

Sandor Clegane is 16/1 to win the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase with Betfred.

The seven-year-old finished third to Stay Away Fay in last year's Albert Bartlett, but has made a fair start over fences this term without winning, chasing home Embassy Gardens in Grade 3 at Naas in January.

Giovinco @ 20/1

Finally, Giovinco can be backed at 20/1 to emerge triumphant here.

The seven-year-old is unbeaten over hurdles and has continued progress over fences this season, landing a win at Aintree before claiming a respectable second to Stay Away Fay at Sandown in a Grade 2 contest. That has been followed up with another win at Newcastle, but could be outpaced here.
