Brighton Tips: Packet can wrap up another win

There's a second successive day of racing at Brighton on Wednesday, as after Tuesday's afternoon offering, they return with another seven races, this time starting a bit later at 16:45 and running through until 19:55. It's Residents' Race Day, where those who live in the local postcodes are eligible for free tickets for the flat card on the outskirts of the city centre.
Our expert Jack Ogalbe has had a look through the card and come up with three fancies, including a pair of picks from the meeting's two Extra Place Race offerings.
Brighton Tips - Wednesday, April 30
17:50 - Packetofbiscuits @ 6/4
Sir Mark Prescott finally got what he's been waiting for from PACKETOFBISCUITS as the three-year-old strode in to break his maiden at Wolverhampton earlier in the month.
The gelding had promised plenty but failed to step up, recording three second-place finishes, including two at Kempton in the races before he got up at Dunstall Park.
He was on the all-weather at Wolverhampton and makes his turf debut at Brighton but shouldn't be overawed by the change of surface.
With a Sire who was a Group 2 winner at York and a grandfather on his Dam's side who was a Group 1 winner on both sides of the Channel, there could be more to come from this three-year-old.
For now, providing himself with a second career win in quick succession in this 7f Handicap will do and he should be able to overcome recent Lingfield scorer Mandana.

18:55 - Waleyfa @ 3/1
A 1lb drop despite finishing third could be what's needed to see Blenheim Star grab a fourth career win in the 1m Handicap at 18:55, which is the first of two Extra Place Race offerings, with three places being paid Each Way at 1/5 odds.
However, dual C&D winner WALEYFA gets the nod after showing progress since returning for the season.
The seven-year-old mare was fourth at Chelmsford on March 8 and then third at Southwell 20 days later.
Both of those defeats came by two lengths and the recruitment of the impressive Darragh Keenan to ride here looks shrewd by Daniel & Claire Kubler.
A winner over this track and trip in her first and third outings for the stable after switching from Alice Haynes' yard last August, the signs are good for a hat-trick victory in as many Brighton outings.

19:55 - Northcliff @ 15/8
Finally to the closer and the second Extra Place Race on the card, with Betfred again paying out three places instead of two on this 6f Handicap.
It's always worth noting when trainers give their charges a quick turnaround and that's the story for NORTHCLIFF, who is pressed back into action by Michael Keady following Sunday's win at Wetherby.
The gelding has been given a 5lb penalty for his victory in West Yorkshire, but that shouldn't be too much to worry about, given he won with almost three lengths in hand at the weekend, while Keenan staying in the plate only adds to the positives.
Maid In Chelsea deserves consideration but may need a run, with this her seasonal debut after finishing sixth of as many runners when last seen at Chelmsford in November.
The Thames Boatman also returned to form with a handy second at Bath on April 20th, but Northcliff was so impressive on Sunday and there is every chance he could follow up in Brighton's closer.
