Brighton Tips: Pop primed to dance past rivals

There is a busy racing schedule to enjoy on Wednesday but our focus will be on the turf action at Brighton, where they race six times from 18:00 until 20:30.
Brighton Betting Tips - Wednesday, May 21
18:00 - Pop Dancer @ 3/1
The opening race in East Sussex is a 5½f sprint and represents a trappy heat, with four runners - Pop Dancer, Sioux Warrior, Coolagh Magic and Harry Brown - likely to be a similar price near the head of the market once they are in the stalls.
Harry Brown is now 0-14 on turf, so his short odds can be thrown out, as can Coolagh Magic’s, with all his wins coming on the All-Weather.
That leaves Sioux Warrior and Pop Dancer, with preference for the latter. Although the former was an eye-catching second at Nottingham last time, he is still a maiden and lacks the wealth of experience that Pop Dancer possesses.
Tony Carroll’s eight-year-old recorded his 10th career win last time and a 3lb rise for that success is unlikely to be enough to stop him, given he has won twice over this course and distance in the past.

20:00 - Sea Of Charm @ 5/2
The standout race on a card otherwise full of Class 6 action is the 20:00, a Class 5 over 1m4f which looks set to go the way of Sea Of Charm.
She held off Sawgrass, an unexposed improver who could still be progressing, to win over course and distance two weeks ago and a 3lb rise for that success looks fair, and unlikely to prevent her following up.
As of Monday morning, her trainer, Georgina Nicholls, had one of the best strike-rates in the UK over the past fortnight, with her entries winning 33 percent of the time in that period.
With Tom Marquand taking over from William Cox in the saddle, there is every chance Sea Of Charm becomes the latest winner for the in-form yard.

20:30 - Havana Mojito @ 7/2
The finale at Brighton comes over 7f and while it looks a competitive race, the favourite should justify that tag.
Havana Mojito raced twice here in April, finishing a close second behind Comedian Leader then reversing the form two weeks later, and although both of those efforts came over 1m, this drop down to 7f should not be an issue.
The handicapper has acted in response to those impressive runs but John Gallagher’s four-year-old is in fantastic form and should have too much for these rivals, most of whom have been struggling for wins of late.
