Beverley Tips: Individualism can finish in isolation

There is afternoon action from Beverley on Tuesday, with the Yorkshire track staging a seven-race card.
The feature contest is a middle distance handicap at 15:45 and Charlie Johnston’s Individualism may get his own way in front. Read on for my Beverley tips.

15:15 Dr Rio @ 15/8
DR RIO has won four races in Britain and all of those victories have come at Beverley. The last of those successes came off a mark of 61 last September and the nine-year-old is down to a rating of 60 here.
There won’t be any improvement to come from the nine-year-old, but Declan Carroll’s charge clearly enjoys his trips to Yorkshire and there were positive signs at Beverley 27 days ago.
Dr Rio missed the break over an inadequate trip last time out, but he made good headway from the rear and was only beaten a length into fourth.
Carroll’s change didn’t enjoy a clear passage last time out either and that run suggested there was still enough spark left for Dr Rio to score a fifth Beverley success.

15:45 Individualism @ 9/2
INDIVIDUALISM looked like a middle-distance handicapper going places when winning comfortably as an 8/13 chance at Carlisle last summer.
However, things haven’t gone to plan since, with the four-year-old disappointing next time out and then off the track for 274 days.
Charlie Johnston’s charge finished down the field on his comeback run at Haydock and again offered no threat at Hamilton last time out.
There is little to recommend Individualism on this season's two efforts, but he is likely to have needed those starts and the mark has dropped to 78 for this contest.
Johnston’s charge showed enough zest to lead the field at Hamilton 39 days ago and it would be no surprise if Individualism was able to hold on to his front-running position at Beverley.

17:20 Art Of Fox @ 9/4
Solar Biricz carries a six-pound penalty for narrow victory at Doncaster nine days ago, but the gelding isn’t the most consistent performer and he could be vulnerable to ART OF FOX.
Tyrese Cameron takes eight pounds off the back of the three-year-old, who ran well under a penalty at Ripon last time out.
Art Of Fox had previously scored at Chelmsford and, while the current rating of 60 doesn’t look beyond the son of Mehmas, Cameron’s claim takes his mark down to below the 53 the gelding scored off impressively at the Essex venue.
Richard Hannon’s horse should take the closing sprint handicap.
