Bath stages its final fixture of the season on Wednesday afternoon – and it’s a high-quality card to look forward to.

There’s seven races, including the listed Beckford Stakes which boasts a prize pot of £65,000.

Bath Tips

  • 16:00 – Vera Verto @ 15/2
  • 16:35 – Flower Of Dubai @ 4/1
  • 17:10 – Albus Anne @ 6/4

16:00 – Vera Verto @ 15/2

John and Thady Gosden look to hold a strong hand in the listed Beckford Stakes at 16:00 but the race could go the way of Vera Verto.

Trainer Gavin Cromwell runs two in the race, but Vera Verto looks the clear pick of those judged on her recent wins at Listowel and Newmarket.

The five-year-old powered to a five-length success on soft-to-heavy ground in a Premier Handicap at Listowel and today’s forecast soft going should be no issue.

Vera Verto won another high-class handicap at Newmarket last time out and she looks well worth her place in listed company.

The five-year-old has run over two-and-a-half-miles over jumps previously and today’s step up to the mile-and-six-furlong distance looks another positive.

16:35 – Flower Of Dubai @ 4/1

Flower Of Dubai has been running consistently well of late and the three-year-old’s third place at Haydock last time out can be upgraded.

Simon and Ed Crisford’s charge was denied a clear run on Merseyside while she had been anxious in the stall before the race got under way.

That was a good class handicap at Haydock and Flower Of Dubai has been dropped a pound for that effort. The three-year-old steps down in class in the 0-85 handicap at 16:35 and she looks set to blossom.

17:10 – Albus Anne @ 6/4

Albus Anne scored with authority over course and distance on testing ground 16 days ago and that took her record to 23231 in soft conditions.

The four-year-old ran on well over the mile trip at this track last time out and she looks poised for another big effort in a contest that should be run at a good pace.

The 16-day break should be enough to have Albus Anne primed and in top form and Jimmy Fox’s charge looks ready to score again.
