Bangor scaled

There are eight contests over the obstacles at Bangor on Wednesday, with racing running from 12:25 to 16:05.

It is one of four UK meetings, with alternative fare at Lingfield (11:35-15:50), Ayr (12:45-15:25) and Southwell (16:30-20:30), and Irish racing coming from Dundalk (14:00-17:15).

Our run through the card on the outskirts of Wrexham features a dual Grade 2 winner, while there is also an intriguing newbie from the Venetia Williams yard. Below you can find my Bangor Tips for Wednesday, November 13.

Bangor Tips - Wednesday, November 12

  • 12:55 - You Wear It Well @ 2/1
  • 14:25 - Junker D'Allier @ 10/11
  • 15:35 - Lemoncello @ 7/1

12:55 - You Wear It Well @ 2/1

Rod Stewart fans will immediately be drawn to YOUR WEAR IT WELL and with good reason.

Those with decent memories will recall she won the 2023 Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham but was last seen when coming in well down the order in the Mares' Hurdle at this year's Festival.

Horse Racing Odds

Back after a break, this Listed race looks a nice assignment for Jamie Snowden's seven-year-old, and Gavin Sheehan's recent win rate, boosted by taking Tuesday’s closer at Huntingdon, makes him a handy partner.

Competition could come from Gordon Elliott's Shecouldbeanything, who is expected to have too much for the reopposing Space Tourist, but You Wear It Well is backed to get her season going before connections identify potentially more significant targets ahead.

12:55 Bangor - Winner You Wear It Well

Odds correct at time of publishing.

14:25 - Junker D'Allier @ 10/11

There was a lot to like about JUNKER D'ALLIER's win on his hurdling debut at Carlisle in October and the gelding looks a good bet to follow up.

That showing was preceded by a run of three runners-up showings in National Hunt Flat Races, and hurdles are again his quarry on Wednesday.

Sean Bowen rode him in Cumbria and is back on board after a successful Tuesday at Huntingdon. He knows the five-year-old well after riding the gelding in his first two outings at Ayr.

Brian Hughes' mount Joltin N Jiving makes his rules debut after triumphing between the flags at Loughrea in May but Olly Murphy looks to have something with Junker D'Allier and he can go two-from-two over the smaller obstacles.

14:25 Bangore - Winner Junker D'allier

Odds correct at time of publishing.

15:35 - Lemoncello @ 7/1

LEMONCELLO looks set to be the latest in a decent line of French imports for Venetia Williams and the Aramstone handler will have thought hard before placing him in this Handicap Hurdle on his UK debut.

The five-year-old was a winner over fences in his homeland before switching from the training partnership of Nicolas de Lageneste and Guillaume Macaire.

There looks to be more to come on UK turf and Williams will take him across the border with high hopes for this half-brother to 2023 Prix de Bagatelle winner Saint Pair.

Nicky Henderson's Aston Martini is a decent entry with career form figures of 1114, but it is hard not to be sweet on Lemoncello.

15:35 Bangor - Winner Lemoncello

Odds correct at time of publishing.
