Friday Greyhound Tips: March On to Romford for a Foghorn Friday

1 pt 19:53 Romford – Gothic Abbess (T1) @ SP

All eyes are on the London Road circuit Romford this evening with ten open races taking place over a variety of distances. At 19:53 in the Romford Friday Night 500 Stayers open over the six-bend 575-metre trip, look out for well-drawn railer GOTHIC ABBESS from T1. The Yarmouth raider is a smart performer when she gets it right at the boxes and would be a huge runner this evening on the bunny.

The key to the race is holding the rails into the first bend, it's imperative that Gothic Abbess beats Bridefort Lady (T2) and Izzys Tenpin (T3) into the corner. Monmore raider Thats Us Now (T6) will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast bets at a price. The wide seed looks the type to make into a smart eight-bend performer and is one to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.

1 pt 20:33 Romford – Droopys Rhona (T5) @ SP

The Renis Runners open race at 20:33 over the eight-bend 750-metre trip at Romford can go to the Paul Young-trained middle seed DROOPYS RHONA. The lightly raced August 2024 daughter of Droopys Got It has caught the eye in recent weeks, staying on well over 575 metres at Romford and 695 metres at Hove. This 750-metre trip should suit and granted a clear run, she will prove hard to beat.

Royal Hotshot (T6) looks the likely race leader but is going into the unknown over this distance. She has plenty of middle gears so could skip clear of the chasing pack and then it's catch me if you can. Railers, Full Monty (T1) and Ivanhoe Rose (T2) both have claims in a competitive race. Listen Rosie (T3) is an interesting runner on Romford debut. The former Thurles-based performer is yet to win since moving across the Irish Sea but would be in with a shout with a ping break.

The third and final selection from Romford this evening is MARCH ON FOGHORN, who runs from T3 in the Romford Friday Night 500 Standard open race at 21:13. The Nathan Hunt-trained railer bolted up over course and distance last time out, clocking 24.00 following a flying 3.72 sectional. That was only the October 2024 youngsters sixth run in total and second at Romford. Open to plenty of improvement, the son of Dorotas Wildcat looks a solid play this evening and looks like the type to make into a smart Romford Friday night Greyhound.

Local runners Bacon Burger (T1) and Funky Ryan (T2) both have chances with ping breaks. Sehnsa Amigo (T4) stays and stays, he would be a huge runner with a level break. Drombeg Doro (T5) pinged the lids and won by five lengths in graded company last time out, clocking 24.09. He’s another who could go well if he gets it right at the boxes.
