Friday Greyhound Tips: All eyes on the racing from Romford

Michael Smyth (bettingjungle), our resident greyhound tipster, is back on Friday with another trio of top tips for your delectation. Romford is the track that catches his expert eye today.

1 pt 19:53 Romford – Brideside Belle (T5) @ SP

Two from three at Hove last night with Droopys Invent and Powerhouse Duke both winning in impressive fashion. Tonight, we head to the London Road circuit Romford with three selections on a competitive card featuring eleven open races. At 19:53, look out for BRIDESIDE BELLE who lines up from T5 in the David Grant 80 Birthday Trophy open race over the six-bend 575-metre trip. The Hove raider looks well-drawn with Tasty Turkish (T4) likely to move rails at lid rise.

If that happens, race favourite Honey Dazzler could get a bump in T1, along with Ballymac Carlina in T2 and Rapido Conti in T3. All eyes on the boxes, if Belle pops out and skips a couple clear its race on. Ballymac Carlina (T2) is lightly raced and open to improvement. She could be worth including in forecast bets at a price.

1 pt 20:53 Romford – Bubbly Everest (T4) @ SP

The Romford Friday Night 500 Maiden final at 20:53 over the four-bend 400-metre trip can go to BUBBLY EVEREST from T4. The Paul Young-trained middle seed looks well-drawn to lead round and once on the bunny, he's a class act capable of clocking around the 24.10 mark. A repeat of that sort of time would see him take this race for connections. Zenith Scorpion (T2) is a consistent course and distance performer and rates as the main danger.

Lightly raced June 2024 pup Hollywood Leo is worth noting in the market from T6. Last time out, Leo bolted up winning by two lengths in 24.32 and is likely to prove popular this evening from a plot draw. Patricias Gift (T3) could be the forecast mixer in the races. The September 2023 son of Ballyhimikin Jet is a consistent performer around Romford and is often there or thereabouts at the finish.

1 pt 21:13 Romford – Ballymac Suntan (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection from Romford this evening is BALLYMAC SUNTAN, who lines up from T1 in the Friday Night 500 Maiden Stayers final. The Paul Burr-trained railer starts and stays, that's a dangerous combination over this six-bend 575-metre trip. If Ballymac Suntan pops out and holds her pitch into the first bend, she can lead off the second and kick for home. Once on the bunny she will prove hard to peg back.

Lightly raced June 2024 youngster Drombeg Dusty (T2) rates as the main danger. She caught the eye in the heats last Friday, staying on well to grab second behind Noirs Pocket who runs from T6 this evening. Wide seed Noirs Pocket (T6) is likely to prove popular in the market and goes into the final with live claims. If the Debbie Hurlock-trained runner pops out and turns with the pace, he will go close.
