Thursday Greyhound Tips: More winners for Michael?

Our resident greyhounds tipster, Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle on X), had two winners from three on Tuesday, and he will be looking to follow up on that with his Thursday picks.

1 pt 18:59 Hove – Unthinkable (T1) @ SP

All eyes on Hove this evening with twelve races taking place at the Nevill Road circuit. At 18:59 in the Hove Welcomes The Transformation Team open race, look out for the Seamus Cahill-trained railer UNTHINKABLE, who lines up from T1.

This looks an ultra-competitive race with plenty in with chances of landing the six-bend 695-metre open. Last time out, Unthinkable led off the second bend and kicked clear of the chasing pack and went on to record 41.95. Any run below the 42 second barrier is smart and a repeat of that would make him hard to beat this evening.

Ower Smasher (T2) chased the selection home last week and can do so again this evening. Rules For Some (T4) is a very pacey performer when it drops right, and she’s worth including in forecast bets.

1 pt 19:16 Hove – Zenith Rocket (T4) @ SP

Heat one of the Coral 500 Standard Trophy at 19:16 can go to the Richard Rees-trained railer ZENITH ROCKET, who lines up from T4.

Although drawn a little wider than normal, the September 2023 son of Malachi has enough early pace to cheat the draw and with a ping break, he can clear those drawn inside and hit the back straight on the bunny.

Once leading round, Zenith Rocket is capable of clocking around the 29.50 mark. That sort of time should see him make all this evening and book his place in the final, which takes place on Saturday, April 4. Ower Cracker from the June Harvey kennel is always worth noting in the market and rates as the main danger from T3. Jacktavern Mojo (T1) is often there or thereabouts at the finish and is worth including in forecast bets.

1 pt 20:07 Hove – Moving Force (T6) @ SP

The third and final selection this evening is MOVING FORCE, who runs from T6 in the Coral 515 Trophy final at 20:07 over the four-bend 515-metre trip at the Nevill Road venue.

Trained by Seamus Cahill, Moving Force is a class act with course and distance runs against the likes of Proper Heiress and Underground Arlo on his card when running in the Category One Olympic final back in December 2025. Since then, Moving Force has only had one competitive run and moved well, staying on in taking fashion clocking 30.19.

That run would have blown away the cobwebs, and he should be spot on now and ready to win. Capable of winning this from the front or if turning handy, the key is a clear run. Droopys Alldeway (T2) is going for three on the bounce and rates as the main danger.

Underground Fizz stayed on well last week over this trip and is worth noting in the market and is also worth including in forecast bets if sent off at fancy prices.
