Young Boys welcome Inter Milan to Wankdorf Stadium on Wednesday night (20:00, TNT Sports 7) looking to put their first points on the board. The Swiss champions have lost their first two matches and have conceded eight goals in the process.
Inter are unbeaten so far with four points and they won their last outing 4-0 against Red Star Belgrade. Read on for my Young Boys vs Inter Milan prediction, accompanied by the latest match odds and team news.
Young Boys vs Inter Milan Betting Tips
Young Boys vs Inter Milan Odds
Young Boys are 8/1 to win this fixture, which gives them a theoretical chance of 11.1%. Inter Milan are valued at 1/3 to take the three points, giving them an implied probability of 75%. The draw is marketed at 4/1 (20%).
Both teams to score can be backed at 5/6, while over 2.5 goals is available at 8/15.
Mehdi Taremi, Lautaro Martinez and Marko Arnautovic have all scored one goal in the Champions League this season, and they are 5/4, 21/20 and 6/4 respectively to score anytime.
Team News
Young Boys' interim boss Joel Magnin will be without the services of Tanguy Zoukrou, Saidy Janko and Patric Pfeiffer due to injury on Wednesday.
Joel Monteiro has been the Swiss side's best attacking star this campaign, so he will have a big role to play supporting Cedric Itten in attack agains Inter. Both players were on the scoresheet in their last league outing against Luzern, which they won 2-1.
Magnin has been no stranger to making changes as we saw it a couple of times in his previous caretaker stint in charge towards the end of last season, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him rotate the squad ahead of this European clash.
For Inter, there are doubts over the involvements of Hakan Calhanoglu and Francesco Acerbi after both were taken off with knocks in the weekend's victory over Roma.
Boss Simone Inzaghi will be hoping that neither issue is serious, while he will be wishing that he will soon be able to have duo Piotr Zielinski and Kristjan Asllani to call upon again.
Inzaghi has also had no issues with reshaping his forward line of late. While Martinez and Marcus Thuram are considered the main duo, opportunities have also sprung up of late for Taremi and Arnautovic.
Alessandro Bastoni should keep his place in the back three, while Stefan de Vrij is expected to be recalled to join him. If Acerbi is out, Inzaghi has a decision to make as to who completes the back line. Wing-back Denzel Dumfries is also likely to come back into the team for this one.
In midfield, we could see an unchanged lineup in Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Davide Frattesi.
Inter Milan to win to nil @ 5/4
Young Boys made a much-needed managerial change earlier this month because the start of their Swiss Super League title defence was going appallingly. There have been slight improvements in the weeks that have followed but they are still some distance off where they want to be.
Their European campaign hasn't got into gear either with two defeats so far. Young Boys have conceded eight goals without reply, and I think their wait to get on the scoresheet here will continue.
Inter Milan are so strong defensively and it has been evident in the Champions League over the past couple of seasons. They have kept 10 clean sheets in their last 16 appearances, so it should be rather simple for them to record another shutout against a side who are yet to score a goal in Europe this season.
As good as they are defensively, they can be very good going forward too. They've won their last four matches on the bounce across all competitions, scoring 11 goals in the process, while also keeping two clean sheets.
One of them came in their last Champions League appearance against Red Star. I Nerazzurri were hardly troubled defensively on that occasion, and I can see a similar scenario unfolding in Bern on Wednesday.
With the firepower they have on offer up top, and the organisation they have at the back, I'm backing Inter Milan to win this match to nil.

Lautaro Martinez anytime goalscorer @ 21/20
When speaking about Inter's firepower, much of it is about this man. After a slow start to the season in front of goal, last season's Serie A Golden Boot winner has started to find his rhythm.
He has scored four in his last four appearances in all competitions, including the win over Red Star a couple of weeks ago. His latest came in Rome at the weekend to secure Inter a huge victory against Roma.
Martinez will be heading into this game full of confidence, and he will be feeling extra hungry to get on the scoresheet. The Argentina international only needs one goal to become the club's all-time leading non-Italian goalscorer, ahead of Istvan Nyers.
The striker is also now one goal away from equalling Adriano's total of 14 goals for the club in the Champions League, another club-record which he is looking to take.
We could be about to witness some rich club history unfold for Inter on Wednesday, and I think it's only right to back that to happen. I have Martinez to score anytime in Bern.
