WolvesvsCrystalPalace

Wolverhampton Wanderers host Crystal Palace at Molineux in the Premier League on Saturday (15:00), with the Eagles looking to pick up a second successive victory after their 4-0 clawing of Manchester United on Monday.

Palace have won four of their last five league encounters while Wolves have won just one, losing three in the process. Momentum is with the visitors heading into this clash in the West Midlands, as are my Wolves vs Crystal Palace predictions. Below I have put forward my tips for this fixture, along with team news and match odds.

Wolves vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips

  • Crystal Palace to win @ 6/4
  • Michael Olise anytime goalscorer @ 2/1

Match Odds

Wolves are 9/5 to take the three points in this one, which gives them a 35.7% chance of victory. Crystal Palace are valued at 6/4, giving them an implied probability of 40%. The draw can be backed at 12/5 (29.4%).

Both teams to score has landed in 11 of Palace's 18 away matches this season, as well as in five of Wolves' last seven encounters in the top-flight. BTTS is on offer at 4/7 for this meeting. Over 2.5 goals is available at 8/11.

Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta has netted 12 goals this season and was on the scoresheet on Monday night. He is priced at 13/8 to score anytime at Molineux. Wolves attacker Hwang Hee-chan has also scored 12 this campaign and he can also be backed at 13/8 to find the back of the net at anytime.

Team News

Wolves midfielder Mario Lemina was taken off last weekend due to a tight hamstring and he will be assessed ahead of the Eagles' visit. His brother, Noah, is in the same position, as is Pedro Neto, and both could make the squad this weekend. Craig Dawson and Leon Chiwone are definitely sidelined for the Old Gold.

As for Palace, they are without Jefferson Lerma, Sam Johnstone, Matheus Franca, Cheick Doucoure and Rob Holding due to injury.

Crystal Palace to win @ 6/4

If you are a Crystal Palace fan, you will be excited for what could lie ahead next season. They are in great form under Oliver Glasner and the former Eintracht Frankfurt coach has them sixth in the form table since he arrived in February.

The Eagles have won five of the 11 games he has overseen and four of them have come in their last five, as we are seeing their progress under his stewardship. They are playing some strong attacking football and they are a team no one would like to face right now, which is why I fancy them to beat Wolves at the weekend.

Their attacking stars, Mateta, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze are all in excellent form and I think they will have too much to handle for Gary O'Neil's side at Molineux. With Wolves having lost three of their last five, they will be low on confidence, whereas Palace will be brimming with it.

Crystal Palace to win at 6/4 Michael Olise anytime goalscorer @ 2/1

Mateta may be the man in form for Glasner's team but their young superstar, Olise, is also enjoying his football right now. The Frenchman netted a brace against United on Monday to take his goal tally for the season up to nine, and I believe he can reach double figures when facing the Old Gold.

His trickery will be a lot for Wolves to handle, as will his positioning in the final third. He has shown that he has a wand of a left foot and I reckon Wolves will become the latest side to see its magic in action.
