Winterthur attacker Matteo Di Giusto leads the way in the Super League scoring charts with three goals to his name. He netted twice in the 4-2 defeat to Zurich last time out, and he will be eager to face a side who are yet to register a single point on the board, and who have also conceded five goals already this term.

The hosts don't appear to have any injury concerns heading into the weekend, which will strengthen their chances of claiming their second win of the season. They will be without the services of Remo Arnold, who was sent off against Zurich.

For Yverdon, Magnus Grodem and Ricardo Azevedo look set to miss out again due to a lack of fitness. They will also be unable to call upon the services of defender Mohamed Tijani, who continues to serve the suspension he picked up against Zurich. Dimitrije Kamenović took his place last week and he will likely feature in the back three once again.

Given Yverdon's poor start to proceedings in 2024/25, I think Winterthur are worth backing to win on home soil. But to increase the odds, I have included both teams to score.

The visitors may be finding it difficult to pick up points right now but they demonstrated their attacking quality as they scored twice against league leaders Servette last time out. Winterthur are a decent side, but they are not quite at the level of Servette, so I can see Yverdon breaching their defensive line on Sunday. This is enhanced by the fact that the hosts conceded four to Zurich last weekend.

However, Winterthur have already won their first home game of the season, a slender 1-0 victory over St. Gallen. They will be hoping for more goals as the season goes on, but they will fancy themselves to score a couple against a team that has already shipped five so far.

I think the home advantage will play its part here, as well as the form of the leading marksman Di Giusto.

Seeing as both defences have already shown to be susceptible to conceding a high volume of goals already, I think over 3.5 goals is worth backing in this contest. It has landed in one of each of the two clubs' league fixtures so far - Winterthur's 4-2 defeat to Zurich, as well as Yverdon's 3-2 loss to Servette.

And given the excellent form the hosts' Di Giusto has been in, I think he can play a huge part in this selection landing on his own.
