West Ham vs Liverpool Bet Builder Tips: Expect goals at the London Stadium

West Ham vs Liverpool

West Ham United host Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday (12:30) at the London Stadium, with the Hammers looking to bounce back from two consecutive defeats as David Moyes' position as manager is in doubt ahead of next season. Liverpool were handed a bitter pill to swallow in midweek as they were beaten by their local rivals Everton, which looks to have ended any hope they had of sending Jurgen Klopp off with another Premier League title.

Both teams are out of form which should make for a scrappy game this weekend, and I've put together a 20/1 bet builder you may want to consider. Below I have detailed my West Ham vs Liverpool bet builder tips.

West Ham vs Liverpool Bet Builder Tips

  • Over 2.5 goals
  • Luis Diaz anytime scorer
  • Lucas Paqueta to have 1+ shots on target
  • Vladimir Coufal to be carded

Over 2.5 goals

I like the look of over 2.5 goals this Saturday because both teams have looked fragile at the back of late, and with 65% (22/34) of the Hammers' league matches this term seeing this selection land, I think we should have no issues seeing that figure rise against Liverpool.

The Reds themselves have seen 65% of their matches provide over 2.5 goals, which bodes well for this clash at the London Stadium.

Luis Diaz anytime scorer

Luis Diaz looked like Liverpool's brightest spark against Everton and I think he could be in line for much more joy against a Hammers side that leaked five goals to Crystal Palace last weekend.

The Colombian has scored eight goals in the top-flight this season and only Mohamed Salah (18) and Darwin Nunez (11) have scored more for the Reds. But seeing as both those players didn't paint themselves in a good light at Goodison Park the other night, I think Klopp will be turning to Diaz for some magic.

And given that he's gone three matches without a goal, I personally feel like he is overdue one this weekend.

Lucas Paqueta to have 1+ shots on target

Liverpool's back line, like West Ham's has been suspect in recent weeks. It's the reason why I haven't even bothered including a result leg in this bet builder. I think there are goals to be had for both sides, and one player I think can test Alisson Becker in the visitors' goal is Lucas Paqueta.

West Ham always look a better side with the Brazilian on the pitch, and the midfielder has dabbled in goals this year with four already. He may not be the most prolific, but he gets himself into good positions to register efforts at goal and his shots per game average in the league this year is 1.5.

If the Hammers are to have any joy this weekend, Paqueta will most likely be at the centre of it, and with top scorer Jarrod Bowen set to miss out, there will be more expected of him.

Vladimir Coufal to be carded

I've already mentioned above that I think Diaz will grab a goal in this contest, and because of his ability to drive the ball forward and dribble, I predict a tough afternoon for West Ham right-back Vladimir Coufal. The Czech Republic international has been shown a yellow card five times already this campaign, and has also been sent off once.

He has also committed 29 fouls this year, and I sense this statistic will rise as he tries to contain the tricky Diaz on Saturday.
