West Ham to win

The Hammers have come off the back of two tough Premier League encounters. They got a point at home to Newcastle United, before suffering a heavy defeat at Villa Park against Unai Emery’s marvellous Aston Villa. However, back on home soil against weaker opposition, David Moyes will be desperate to get back to winning ways.

West Ham have been electric at home this season, and only Manchester City have been able to come away with all three points from the London Stadium. Meanwhile, Everton have only won once away from home this season and will now be without Ashley Young as he was sent off at Anfield.

That was a good performance from Sean Dyche’s men and they are likely to put up a good fight here, but I believe they will come up short against a West Ham team that is packed full of quality.

BTTS

As previously mentioned, Everton have improved over the last month. The arrival of Beto, and return of Dominic Calvert-Lewin has helped give them some attacking threat, and they now look likely to steer clear of relegation.

They’ve scored in four of their last five games, with the Anfield defeat with ten men being the only anomaly. Even in that game they created chances and may have got something had Ibrahima Konate received a second yellow card. Here, they can show that attacking threat and get on the scoresheet again.

Jarrod Bowen to score anytime

West Ham’s top scorer this year is their talisman, Jarrod Bown. He’s been in excellent form with six goals and two assists, while his finishing ability is unquestionable. The English wide man is relied upon to provide the final touch to West Ham’s attacking moves, even though he rarely plays as a central striker.

With Ashley Young out of this one and the Everton defence likely to give up chances, Bowen can take full advantage and find the net again.

Edson Alvarez to be carded

We wanted to pick out a player to pick up a yellow card to boost the odds here and Everton, despite their stereotype under Sean Dyche, have actually been fairly good at avoiding bookings in recent weeks. Meanwhile, our first pick Emerson is suspended for this one having picked up five yellows already, so we turn out attention to combative midfielder Edson Alvarez. Up against a physical Everton midfield, I believe the Mexican will have to get stuck in and could pick up a caution.
