The final Premier League clash before the international break sees West Ham United welcome Aston Villa to the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon (14:00).
Both sides return to domestic duty on the back of European success, as the Hammers thrashed Freiburg in the Europa League, while Unai Emery's side enjoyed a famous victory over Ajax in the Europa Conference League. Here are our West Ham vs Aston Villa predictions, featuring team news and match odds on offer for the game.
West Ham vs Aston Villa Prediction
Team News
Maxwel Cornet and Emerson Palmieri were West Ham's only absentees heading into Thursday's clash with Freiburg, and that remains the case heading into the weekend.
As for Villa, Ollie Watkins lasted just 33 minutes against Ajax before succumbing to a painful-looking knee injury, however Emery hasn't ruled the England striker out of Sunday's game.
However, Diego Carlos is expected to be absent after sustaining a hamstring injury but Ezri Konsa will return after serving a European ban. John McGinn will join Carlos on the sidelines, while Tyrone Mings, Emiliano Buendia, Boubacar Kamara and Jacob Ramsey also remain on the treatment table.
Match Odds
The odds of 13/8 for the home win implies that West Ham have a 38.1% chance of picking up the three points, whilst Villa are 6/4, or a 40% chance to win a fourth-consecutive away game.
The draw can be backed at 13/5, while both teams to find the net is priced up at 4/9.
Aston Villa - Draw No Bet @ 4/5
West Ham have failed to win four of their last five Premier League matches at the London Stadium, while Aston Villa have lost only one of their last eight away league games, winning five.
Emery's side have hit two or more goals in seven of their last eight away games, which suggests a measure of consistency on the road that West Ham, who have been shut out in two of their last five at home, have not shown lately.
In addition, Villa will want to continue their push for a Champions League spot and bounce back from a disappointing defeat to Spurs last weekend.
Ollie Watkins to score anytime @ 11/8
As mentioned above, the England international suffered a knee injury on Thursday night, but Villa will be hoping that their star striker will be fit and firing come Sunday.
Only Erling Haaland has scored more Premier League goals than the Villa marksman this term, who will have his eye on the Golden Boot given that he trails Man City goal-machine by just two strikes.
In addition, Watkins opened the scoring against Ajax, and has netted five times across his past four league outings.
